If you look closely at about 2:23, Ivan Nagy uses a different timing for his promenade before kneeling. After the sylphide's whisper, he lifts his head and stretches his arm.
Saying there is a small story in this ballet isn't wrong. I believe Mr.Nagy got the closest of any dancer to meeting Fokine's intention.
I haven't seen any other dancer do this (which doesn't mean he's wrong) and there's about 40 years of "Les Sylphides" and "Chopiniana" posted here on Youtube(if you can find one, share).
