I miss Rod... he was a great friend and a great guy. He was the best at Disneyland... I will never be able to think about my time there without thinking of him.
@leemute he retired because he has arthritis throughout his body... He used to travel yearly to Utah for someone's birthday, but he doesn't even do that anymore :/
I would like to know when Rod will make a "secret" appearance at Disneyland. I'd make the trip out from Arkansas to see him! My daugher Stephanie works for Corporate and has only heard my tales about Rod's playing.....
@plucknpick he pops in on some Saturdays... he was there last saturday and was there a few weeks ago. He doesn't really play anymore (he might jump on occasionally, but not regularly), but he comes watch Alan (his student, and current piano player at Disneyland) play. Alan is the only one that has continued on his legacy there. If Alan is playing on a Saturday at Disneyland, more than likely, probably 75% of the time, Rod will be there. :)
@plucknpick He already made a "secret" trip.. I posted some videos! He played in early June of 2011 and sad for me I didn't even realize it was him until I got home! But nonetheless, I got two videos of him coming out of retirement and playing some songs! Truly amazing! Check my channel!

Each of the players have their own fans.

It used to be an option on his website. About $1,000 plus travel and accommodation. If he'd still do it.

I just want to hire him for a birthday party. Unfortunately, I don't have enough to get him out here and playing! He's amazing!

How much do you think it would cost?

Thanks for posting this. It's so nostalgic for me watching him play. I used to sit for hours listening to his music on Coke Corner.
