You said it! I see ALOT of SRV in him. But you know, Richie is a very underated guitarist. He is one of the best out there and I tell you, he has way more soul than many too. Always a great vocalist too. I always thought he had a better voice than Jon, (not that Jon has a bad voice, he has a great one) but that's just my opinion.

You are so right...Ive had this conversation before with some other people and I think that the reason why he may be so underrated is because he is in BonJovi. Not everyone takes his music seriously and that's where Richie unfortunately gets lost in that mess. If those same people could only hear his solo work, then I'm almost certain they would think differently...

I know Bon Jovi ever since I was a child. But one day when I was 14 years old (back in 1994) I got my hands on a live show. They played a song (Drift Away) and at a point Jon lets Richie sing. I was completely amazed. This guy is way better than Jon. I'm not saying that Jon is not good but he can't compete with this man. After many years I got his solo work and I like him even more. He's also a great guitar player. He's the real talent in Bon Jovi band. Richie rulez !
