so glad to hear this song...a song of forgiveness. very glad to see so many who can relate. my sis and my dad took about 25 years to come full circle, and some damage was done to her self, no doubt, and there really was a reason to apologize... some regret and remorse on the Dad's part is inevitable, imho.,,so maybe a bit oversimplified? compare to Everclear's Father of Mine. very different, and i do not think the gender of the child is why. just two different approaches and situations.
