Holy living crap!!!! I saw this episode 22 freakin' years ago and I had that line in my head all this time. For the hell of it tonight I decided to google it and I found it! I can't believe it! Thank you so much for posting this!!! The other Letterman line that I'll never forget was a few years before this when he overheard someone saying they had 6 glasses of Quik and a plate of bacon for breakfast :) Haven't found a clip of that though :)
