How can someone from thousands of years ago, possibly be remembered? Thats too dam long. There were no pens or things to write it down. There wasnt even writing that long ago. I like the idea of filming this video outdoors. The young guy treking in the beautiful scenery signifies health, fitness, purity, freedom and happiness. It contrasts nicely with our idea of a sex addict staying indoors alone on a sunny day with the blinds shut obsessively viewing porn in order to flush the cravings out of his system.

It's amazing how many people find it ridiculous that people can become addicted to or use pornography to "self-medicate". It's essentially a way to escape reality. Porn Addiction? The issue is not addiction. Rather the inability to manage sexuality in a healthy way. Sexuality is not ingestible like alcohol or drugs. When people need help managing their weight they are not told to just stop eating and everything will be fine. They are taught to make better food choices. Sexuality must be managed, and knowledge is the key. Sexual Futurist has some ideas, please see our channel.

@sexualfuturist Thanks for the comment! The correlation with addiction that those who obsessively use pornography is not that it's ingestable, but rather the reaction in the brain that it creates. Substance or behavior, they both create chemicals that breed dependency. I agree with you that the answer is not to abstain from sex. However, I would contend, using logic and reason, that pornography has no place in the diet of a fully actualized diner at life's table. Thanks again.

I guess I consider my role in that journey just one of letting them know that they're not scum, as they often come to think that when they try over and over to stop, but seem stuck. I also hope to convey to those who struggle some vision of what life can become. You ever seen The Celestine Prophecy? Kinda like that. Try to help others see that love is more powerful and fulfilling than lust.

So, learning about yourself is one of the biggest things anyone can do to get more from life. Many times we don't stop to pay attention to how we're feeling at any given moment, but we still react to those underlying feelings. So, knowing ourselves is freedom.

It was based on cigarette smokers, but applies widely to all sorts of addictive behaviors. As people follow the steps, and seek freedom, they find freedom.

It's not about me, about forcing them (you can't) or even about taking porn away (addictions can exist inside even when "substances" are gone).
