  • Great Tutorial, Great song. BUT Whats the Strumm Pattern I read some where it was D DU U DU but that just sounds stupid on a B...

  • great help bud thanks alot:)

  • The question is- ARE YOU THE WALRUS?

  • Thank you very much for this tutorial, I Am the Walrus is one of my favorite Beatles songs. Now I will be able to play it. Very cool.

  • cheers for that, much aprreciated

  • do you know if Noel Gallagher uses the same chords when Oasis cover this live, cheers ?

  • @GeorgeOfDevon94 I think he does actually.

  • @GeorgeOfDevon94 yes man, those chords are from Oasis, the Beatles version is on piano and it has different chords like A/G, but those chords from Oasis fit this song. Sometimes live Noel plays the E7 at the introduction as x76700 too.

  • @caiomeloaranha and he may play B (799877) or B7add11(x21200)

  • sack the guy who's comment can't even be shown anymore ! georgia rose live forever man . Legend.

  • thanks man.

  • Wonderful! Thank you so much for this video!

  • Is that a Kona?

  • HE-MA-I

  • this has helped i was on ultimate guitar and some of the cords were different and harder to change to because this sounds good and is easier

  • good job man

  • Sodomize them !

  • bienn master !!! thanks!!

  • anyone here can tell me what are the chords on 0:54 and:56 please?

  • @JvDeViL E and E7

  • @JvDeViL E & E7

  • dont listen to negative voices, keep on rockin dude

  • You missed an D an D7 in the intro, after E and E7. But still, good video lesson, specially helpful for beginners. Also, you helped me, I'm not a beginner but i couldn't find the right chords to this song. Good Job!

  • cheers for the lesson

  • wow you were very helpful thanks!!!!

  • how is the rhythm of the music ?? tell me !! please !!

  • Learned it :) TY so much for your tutorial. You ppl who don't appreciate this are very picky.

  • This is a great tutorial. If you guys would watch his cover for this song, maybe you would understand this video! or maybe if you guys new the chords. This tutorial is GREAT and its not long and boring.

  • i really like the version you've set out her mate. simplified and perfect for getting the feel of the song across.

  • whats the strum pattern?

  • I'm sure you have heard this thousands of times, but I'm saying it again.

THANK YOU for sharing your amazing videos and excellent tutorials,

even though some users don't understand what a cover is. These are

the most clear and concise videos I have seen.

  • Pense que era mas dificil !! muchas gracias

  • hmm...that's strange, to me the part "I am he as you are he..." sounds more like A A/G C D instead of A C D E

  • I love your guitar!

  • hey great tutorial...i like much your cover..

  • iNTRO

    B-A-G-F*-¿¿??-C7- ??

  • there is no right or wrong in music.. just as long as it sounds good and the musician is comfortable with it that it's good.. good try man.. this is a good video..

  • i have some problem with the rythm, could u write the "UP" "DOWN" u play and open chords also if u play some. thanks a lot for ur video anyway !!

  • Comment removed

  • really nice tutorial, thanks a lot. could u give us a little more explications about rythm, i really can't catch it. do u play open chords between 2 chords ?

  • Well said, georgiarose16. Thanks for the tutorial. It was the basis of my own rendition that I plan to spring on my jamming buddies next time.

  • how do you fav this?

  • Thank u

  • nice guitar man, cool song too, love it

  • Awesome! I'm learning to play guitar with your videos! They are Great! Congratulations man

    SAY HELLO TO BRAZIL! :D

  • Georgiarose is gonna live forever!!!! Tnx mate!!!! You are always the n°1!!!

  • I don't generally go through the whole song as it would take way too long. I feel it's only necessary to show the chord sequences which make up the whole song.

  • except that's not all of them?

  • I'm not sure which chords are missing? but if there are, I hope you are able to work them out.

  • listen to the song again, and then to this video. there are at least a couple of different chords you skipped in the intro that aren't properly translated from the cellos/violins

  • It doesn't sound like this tutorial is for you then. I'm sure there are other tutorials which might suit you better. This is my interpretation of the song - I'm not claiming it is right or wrong. It is a tutorial for a version on acoustic guitar only. People are welcome to take what they like from it and develop their own renditions. Personally, this is the version I have developed for myself after listening to this song hundreds of times since I was a kid.

  • @georgiarose16

Thanks for the vid Georgia...after the intro it goes to a D and a D7...and the verse (I think!!) doesn't go to a C...it's an A with a G bass (technically an A7 I spose)

Have a look at my channel I play lots of Beatles songs..just about to do Walrus so fishing around the web for versions and came upon yours...again much appreciated...

    Danny

  • at garsinx

be greatful man... he has a vid of him playing the song so just watch it and work it out.

  • @GarsinX After a year you haven't shown your skill at playing. Even The Beatles themselves never played their songs the same way twice. Moreover, studio recordings can never be reproduced outside the studio. John Lennon completely flubbed the words to Come Together in NYC 1972 concert and even joked about it, and played Imagine completely differently on acoustic guitar. Anyone who needs to play a song note for note the way it was recorded has bigger problems than not liking a tutorial.

  • @GarsinX if u dont like it dont watch it...dont critisize and just move on, georgiarose16 as loads of great stuff on here, and helps alot of guitarists out with his lessons, what have u got mate... u put some video's on here ( mr wannabe hendrix), ..your a knob

  • @georgiarose16 what's the chord on 0:54 and 0:56 please? :)

  • I have a problem. Now I know the chords, but how about the rythm?? its like up down, up down, up down up down up, or what???????????????? ty

  • The video is great and it has been very useful. Thank you. But there is still a part in which I dont know what to play. Its in the 3rd verse when he repeats "im Crying". Should I keep on playing the A chord? It doesnt sound as if i should.

  • Hi - yes sorry, I did miss explaining that bit. You play an A then C for the first 'I'm Crying' then A, E, D for the second. Thanks for pointing that out.
