I love all the Mother references XD The Touhou reference was funny too.

But on another note, has anyone noticed that practically all Yume Nikki fans are Mother fans too? I don't think I've met a single Yume Nikki fan that isn't a fan of the Mother series. I guess Yume Nikki has the same weirdness of Mother, but on a different scale, so it attracts the same fans. But having that on such a massive scale is weird.

Answering your question, it attacts the same fans because Yume Nikki has been more than inspired on Earthbound. Kikiyama has even put an entire area in Yume Nikki based on it.
