but as far as a diagnosis it seems like doctors dont even really try like i said i told him about it and he put me on buspar. I don't know if thats actually considered a diagnosis.
charles lets say that someone has anxiety cause of hormone proublems what do people take to get rid of hormone proublems would they have to be stuck on things like zoloft or whatever other medication i know your not a doctor lol but it seems like you have your stuff together when talking about anxiety.
Zoloft is not used for eliminating hormone imbalances. Hormone imbalances can only be regulated by a specialist using hormone replacement therapies and sometimes diet and other devices. Diabetes is an example of a hormone imbalance that can be regulated with diet. STOP focusing on hormones and get a correct diagnosis from a doctor AssassinC101... if you don't know you have hormone problems, do not focus on them.
I went to my doctors a while ago and heres the conversation that took place he walks in the room and he says tell me about your anxiety i told him i get really painful shyness around people sometimes hard to look at people . Seems i get irretable when i get around people sometimes then i told him about the linden method how the amygdala works and he says i believe that sometimes thats the case but not all the time then he put me on buspar thats about as far as it really went.
How are you supposed to bring your Amygdala back to normal when you have had PTSD for 20 years??? What method are you refering to?? Hatha Yoga?? Meditation?? Vitamin B-100's??
ssri's suck
clonazapam makes you sleep and sleep and sleep.
How about people accepting others who appear 'lost' in the world. Ultimately people have no idea about verbal agnosia and social agnosias which affect those of us locked in this defensive state. We become perceptually deaf, dumb&blind.
also charles you said that there's only a few people that u knew of that had anxiety cause of a actual proublem was it the thyroid for them or something else
No, on one occasion it was allergy, the other was something related to a viral infection. In truth, I have never come across one case yet where anyone has mentioned that they were subsequently diagnosed with a thyroid problem. In fact, none of the clients I have ever worked with have ever had wrong diagnoses! They have all had an anxiety disorder as far as I know... and as you know, we've had a few clients now!
I don't me to down my doctor or anything but when i went to go see him heres what he did prescribed me meds he diden's even bother to really try and find a solution for me he basically said i think we will put u on buspar. But the doctor before him i had asked if he can give me a thyroid test and when the test came back he said it was off only a little bit he said so small that it woulden't affect me.
well she said it was liking waking from a 15 year coma. Chances are most of us dont have anything like that but it's just bothered me thinking that if i am feeling anxiety cause of things like this. My thing is i dont really get like the whole heart attack feeling ive had that a couple times though i got it right before my anxiety reached a higher level before i was 23 i had it a little like when i walked places outside i would get dizzy sweaty kind of shy around people but it wasent that bad
Everything you are experiencing sounds exactly like expected behaviors of a person with anxiety disorder assassinC101. If you haven't received a formal, medical diagnosis... please do so! C
how do we know if are anxiety isn't being caused by other things other then making the sub concious mind change and becoming anxious i can see how that would happen but i know there's other things like thyroid proublems hormone ive even read this thing where this person had anxiety for 15 years or so and she went into see her doctor and he asked her if he could get a urin sample and turns out she had this thing called protienuria i had never even heard of it but its wear you lose alot of protien
This video is designed for people with anxiety disorder NOT for those who may experience anxiety due to other conditions. Anxiety caused by a thyroid problem for example, is still high anxiety and may still require this kind of treatment, but it is vital that the underlying health condition is eliminated first. I have to say, in ten years, not many of our clients report discovering that another health condition was responsible for their anxiety... I only know of three people.
It is vital that a diagnosis of anxiety disorder is received from a qualified doctor! Proteinuria rarely has anxiety listed as a symptom. In our experience when someone feels inappropriately anxious, it's usually because they have an anxiety disorder!
Do people actually fully recover or do they just learn how to manage it like I did? I still have symptoms but I learned not to feed them.. I am a member of many different anxiety forum, which include thousands of members and have yet to see anyone actually fully recover to the way they once were. I'm not knocking your program but wondering why I havent come across anyone who fully recovered? Even Donnie Osmond admits he isnt recovered and just learned how to manage it.
This is what I find extraordinary. OK, if you are a RECOVERED anxiety sufferer, where do you spend your time? On forums, anxiety websites, surfing the web, confined to home, limiting activities... OR... do you get back to work, enjoy life, family, friends, holidays and feel fulfilled? The internet sites and forums which are communities for anxious people don't have recovered people in them. IF Donnie Osmond isn't fully recovered, ask him to get in touch!
The internet is a hot bed for negativity - thousands of anxious people searching for solutions - i know, I was one of them. There aren't any solutions in those places and all they do is foster anxious behavior, the behavior that MUST stop in order for anxiety recovery to happen! My clients recover and move on, that I can assure you. Anxiety disorder can be eliminated 100%, that I assure you 100%
Look what the UK National Health Service says about The Linden Method.
Our experience and knowledge of The Linden Method has served as an important lesson for us as to how we might modify our practice when working with young people who present with significant anxiety... we would be happy to refer clients to you whom we believe might benefit from The Linden Method, offering it as a preferred or additional option. We would also welcome the opportunity to consult with you on specific cases...
Anxiety sufferers have massive amounts of emotional intelligence and are capable of anything the hears desire. The level of creativity required to manifest an anxiety disorder is very high indeed; channeled productively after recovery, our clients do amazing things with their lives. We provide guidance for such matters during our support program. It's vital that anxiety sufferers understand their intellect receiving guidance on how to effectively utilize that power after their anxiety is gone.
In our experience, anxiety does not lead on to clinical depression. The two conditions are completely unrelated. Depression is a clinical condition caused by chemical imbalance, anxiety is a behavioral condition. While some people with depression can develop anxiety as a result of the way they feel, anxious people can become sad and desperate and feel 'low' but this is rarely true, clinical depression and even when it is, it is never biologically related to the anxiety. Hope this helps. Charles
"Anxiety sufferers have massive amounts of emotional intelligence and are capable of anything the hears desire."
I have recognized this before in myself as an anxiety disorder sufferer with pretty much every symptom and it was and still is literally shocking and unbelievable when i realize that I can actually do anything and create anything I want out of my life! i mean WOW, you know, that is one amazing power to be walking around with. who would have thunk it?...
Imagine flipping through the channels on the TV and seeing something like this as a commercial!! Have it replace all of the pointless ones that don't do anyone any good. The world would be a much better place
very good idea , shame people are so selfish and money orientated. The world would be a much better place, as people who suffer from anxiety have massive amounts of potential when focused outwards.
