Personally, I find this version better and has a more epic feeling considering the production is much better and the guitars are played in a lower tuning

Overture gets slammed, but I really dig these revamped versions. One of the reasons is Tim Mills! Holy fuck, those solos rip with some serious goddamn ferocity and precision, the best leads Iced Earth has ever had IMO...too bad his stay in the band was so short-lived.

As far as the music is concerned, I might be hated for this, but I feel Owens suited Iced Earth's power better.

Nothing against Barlow, he has plenty of emotion, but emotion isn't a big factor with me. I feel Barlow lacked the power that Iced earth has, and Owens portrayed that power much better.

Owens if a far better singer and performer then you, so you opinion is shit. His range of the higher register is better then Barlow's and he can hold note for longer then Barlow. You might not like Owens but that doesn't mean he sucks. He's a talented singer and the only reason people hate him is because he had to fill Barlow's shoes and was always covered by his shadow. @666danielclark666 No, you're right. Barlow is a god. Sorry. Owens is sick in his own right, but never a great fit for Iced Earth. His new band is miles above anything he ever did with Schaffer. Just...didn't work. Barlow is Iced Earth, no matter who else plays with him.
