Great points this guy makes, but we love gas because it has Convenience attach to it, but we are killing ourselves because of it. SO!...because paper has all the love that you say, will soon kill us in the long run going down that course.
Most people think we're killing trees every time we use paper, but isn't the Pulp used to make paper a renewable resource? Meaning: we'll never run out of trees. Will we???
I'm in the U.S. I have notice many books here in the U.S. are being printed in China. Perhaps it's cheaper to print over in China, but I wonder if the Chinese paper industry makes the same efforts in sustainability - planting trees and creating tree farms.
I would imagine they do. I have also read that in the U.S. we 'genetically enhance' trees to make them grow faster. I suppose the question is not if we'll run out of threes to make paper, but will we run out of 'tree farms' to make paper?? I'm thinking the planning that goes into tree farming spans generations considering it take these trees years to grow...
Interesting points on the information the human eye can process. However, as an information management/ consultant many firms i work with are advised to impliment multiple monitors to view information... by doing this it makes an almighty difference to the production of processing digital information. Which in a way endorses your point.
With regards to larger firms producing more paper this is mainly the case due to their size. They usually have a maze of dysfunctional proceses - another day!

True - depending on which country you are in. Proper management of forests is vital.

Very true. Good video. I do like pdfs because of the lack of room space for books.
