Socom 1 and 2 was very addicting due to the fact online was the shit cuz when I played a pubby war on sujo lol it would be raining in real life and raining in the map and back then I didn't smoke weed so names like budz and twisted killa were crazy and new to my ears ,also clans like Untolad Legends and that one black guy I would argue with every dam time shit I miss those days .

Look how many hot ps2 titles that are already released. An it can happen to Socom awell. At least try. But thats your choice. I've been there since SOCOM 1, and I'd love to see a remake but at some point we all need to stop lying to ourselves and come to terms with reality. SOCOM is dead and both Zipper & SONY have killed it, but please feel free to press on with a battle for a game that SONY should want to remake for the profit factor alone. The truth is they won't and no one at SONY cares.
I've played socom 2 and 3 4 years had made real friends on there that I played with day in and day out 15hours a day sometimes just sitting in a room talking man had so much fun back then with socom have yet to play another game and get the same feeling like socom gave me ...
@bigmon3y27x Everything that you and Schwinn04 said are all true and thats what made socom great...if they redesigned it like the originals I would spend money to play if I had to. I'm heading to school next year for computer science/engineering and mark my words if I end up getting into game design, there will be a good Socom 2/3 remake. And it would be cross platform.

SOCOM was not a videogame to me. Videogames is the type of shit you spend $60 on and get bored of relatively quickly. SOCOM was something that had addiction and a great community to have fun with.
This video is full of truth and was good. But the thing you said at 3:50-4:00 sounds very accurate. It took socom combined assualt, confrontation and socom4 for them to realize this, but they are a business and eventually they will be forced to do a remake. The issue is the main community from the early 2000's isnt getting any younger. I am almost 20, and started this at 13. This was my first addiction as well, but it wouldn't hurt to play this again if it was remade. Thanks for the video.
