It's not only what it can affect the environment, but we also don't know when all our natural resources will be gone, we've reached our top already. You still have to question the so-called" warmest decade ever". The NOAA to this day, refuses to release information that could show the fraud in their temp readings for the last 10 yrs. The NOAA satellites were recording extremely high temps because of faulty sensors. These readings were then fed into averaging global temps, creating the infamous" warmest decade ever recorded"

Also if you compare commonly farmed animals they can differ, for example a chicken has much less effect on the environment than a cow does (per unit of meat).

It's not only what it can affect the environment, but we also don't know when all our natural resources will be gone, we've reached our top already. I designed a number of windmills in the early 80's.
I put on Clark Y foils and permanent magnet motors and designed inverters to produce 60Hz. Sometime inductive motors with resonant capacitor.
I learned that wind is not reliable, they kill bats, they make noise, and they get broken in storms.
Every form on energy has it's pros and cons.
Alternative energy simply means, "Not as cheap as what most people use".

Many sites now offer wind power generation at less than 8ct/kWh... compared to nuclear which is rather around 13ct/kWh.

We went from 784 million tonnes CO2 (1907) to about 8,400 million in 100 years (2007) - that's only a growth of 2.5% per year folks, that's total m/m CO2 at 3.3*10^11, which is 1 fifth of the 'natural' 300ppm! Now, China is putting out 25% of global emissions. There economy is growing at 8-10%, but lets just say they will increase 5% CO2 compared to rest of the world at 2.5%...

Today we have relavent proff, such as an increase of CO2. if you knew anything about chemistry, you would know that adding extra CO2 will change something. Such as a person smoking, the CO2 will change the pH of their internal body..aswell as poisoning their oxygen. which could be happening externally aswell .
