All you people that dislike PSP and DS versions, haven't you realized yet that consoles are only for arcade games and casual gamers? It was always that way and will be like this forever. You were waiting for a miracle?

Is the new Military History version for the PC anything like the original CEAW Gold?

I can't purchase the Gold version since they replaced it with the MHCEAW... and I hated playing the MHCEAW for the DS and PSP.

It is like they just took the old game... and made it smaller.

tenchimoyo69 you are wrong in that we have downgraded the game. The PC version has both the original maps and the small maps while the DS and PSP have only the small maps. So the PC version is extended in this new release.

I tend to agree with tenchimuyo69; Ive been a huge fan of the boardgame World in Flames. Matrixgames has had the contract of turning it into a computergame since 2003, and its still not done! And their claim the AI being hte breaking point is becoming kinda lame. Just build more parameters ingame; nowadays storagespace isnt a problem anymore, so just make the game much bigger, taking into account all kinds of "what if"s. Hope one day it will still be released...

DS games are not region coded so run on any DS. So US games work in Europe and vice versa.

This game is decent enough, but Strategic Command 2 Weapons and Warfare is better in almost every aspect.

I liked the original commander europe at war better. The map was larger and more units fit on it.

For some reason the company replaced the older one for this. And stopped selling the other.

The game was ALWAYS overpriced. Some 50-60 bucks for this game that was more like 20 dollars worth of fun.

And now that they downgraded the game, making it smaller, but keeping the same price.

The company is not very good at all.
