The story structure is okay up to this point. Casting for Grim is okay except for the dialogue. Grim was a street wise New Yorker who often smoked cigars. Casting for sue storm is pretty good.

This could hardly be described as a good film, but then neither can the two Tim Story efforts. One of the things the Corman version does better is the Reed/Victor relationship, and the treatment of Doom in general. The Tim Story/Julian McMahon Doom is unhappy to be turning into a metal man and so... puts on a metal mask. It is later fused to and ruins his face. Then the Silver Surfer restores his face and, first chance he gets... he puts on a metal mask. That's good writing!
