my pal handycam broke down, i have about 100 tapes or so left, i bought a ntsc handycam, will my pal minidvs play in my new ntsc handycam? do i need to convert them or can a programm when i capture it on computer already change it into good video and sound & all ?
i am not sure ( haven't recieved it yet ) if for instance my handycam lcd screen would become black & white but when i am capturing it on computer its normall good & all
my camera is mini dv of course but when it doesnt need software it uses firewire.i have the samsung sc-d382 but the compuer wont read the damn thing.the firewire is new,the camera is new.whe i connect it the camera beeps and reads that its connected.but the computer wont read anything.HELP ME PLEASE!!!!
wow no the gain does not "allow more light" it increases the amount of noise and degradation to increase exposure. Basically to use only as an emergency only after the iris is fully opened and you still need more exposure.
Yeah I have 2 of them... The one she has is Panasonic DVX100a. Its a really great camera! You can do so much with lighting with this camera. There are a few different ways to get good lighting threw the camera alone.
its not a professional its just a really nice consumer camera the professional Sony cameras are under the Corporate tab on there website and they cost from $30,000 to $60,000 Those are the professional ones .
What audience is this targeted too? She's speaking in halfway layman's terms and using a birthday party as an example = consumer. She's got a DVX100, a camcorder with full manual control, = prosumer. This "tutorial" is broken.
You're doing it wrong. Neutral density filter, 1. Iris, 2. Shutter speed, 3. Not gain, although gain could be the 4th, it should never come before adjusting shutter speed.
good ear man cause shutter speed controls the frame rate which should be last if needed. My camera I go for the ND filter first all the time. The Gain if used the wrong way gets GRAINY results. The Iris is the ND with out all the Grey masking. Good comment by the way
I just don't get why the buzz putting someone down for doing whatever they do..if you don't like it just don't watch, not rocket science. Each to there own.

Wow. I really hope she doesn't make money telling stupid people obvious things.
It's like she has all this equipment (the camera and the Mac behind her at least. I think it had multiple monitors) and she just figures out how to use it as she goes along.
I have nothing against figuring things out by doing them (that's how I learn most of the time) but DON'T make an instructional video when all you know how to do is something like use a basic function on the camera! Tell me something more useful
dont just talk ,show, for all these videos with portable kit no one demos outside in the real world ...why?...if i wanted to just look @ a camera i could use the brochure which contains basicly says what you and every salesman says ...
why is everyone so hard on the less beautiful...? does the whole damn world need media grade looks?
