That town was called Greensburg, and there were reports all over the place of how many people were killed when that happened. Literally, an entire town was wiped off of the map. Information was so sketchy because the town is in the middle of nowhere western Kansas, and it took a few days just to make the town accessible to emergency crews. It was originally thought that thousands had died because no one had any way of hearing from these people.

Boy, it realllly sounds like die. I looked it up. The city in which it happened has 1,400 people. 10 died in the tornado in that city (Greensburg or Greenburg, i forget). Then two others died in Pratt County in a separate tornado, but still part of the chain. Pratt County has 9,647 people. So maybe thats where he's getting 10,000 from. Now as to whether he said die or there (pronounced "dare" with a long i sound), i'm not sure.

Let's give a guy a break. Obama, like any other liberal, wishes for tragedies to be big as possible. He was fantasizing about 10,000 people dying and got confused with reality.
