  • epic song. best song on the album. 1:47 mark is epic..!

  • there is no genre for Dissection, this is just pure originality. sick shit.

  • This has always been my favorite. Vi ses i valhall Jon! En sann krigares själ dör aldrig

  • "Dies irae dies illa solvet cosmos in favilla vocamus te aeshma-diva!"

  • Perfection needs no label.

  • 4 people need to fucking die!

  • lol trolls.

  • ITS SIMPLY THEIR STYLE OF MUSIC WHICH THEY NAMED ANTI COSMIC METAL OF DEATH THATS THEIR GENRE

  • it is Ultimate Thrash Metal

  • this album er band that i just now discovered is amazing, i love the fact that it has anti cosmic satanism instead of the blulshit la vey has written i myself am not a satanist but i do like studying the esoteric literature regardless great band/

  • I love the meaning of the song. :D:D

  • just found this. love it!

  • Fuck the haters, this album kicks ass!

  • why are people trying to place dissection in any certain genre. they're fucking dissection

  • I would have never called Dissection "Black & Roll" but that's a good way to describe the path that Satyricon has taken

  • If I can categorize Dissection under the black metal genre, then this is kind of an epic band for me as I don't often listen to black metal. I can't find another band on Youtube (in this genre), which has very well played instruments and deep melodies as Dissection has. There are just always those five guys banging heads and screaming emotionally in the forest... However, let this be my portway to black metal. Jon Nödtveidt, here I come!

  • @Jarzkuy late dissection falls under the genre of "black & roll"

  • @Velcera Dissections first two albums were melodic black metal. Reinkaos is melodic death metal.

  • @Velcera I'd more say melodeath/black.

  • @Velcera I wouldnt call it black and roll more along the line of Melodic death even very similar to that of the gothenburg metal like at the gates and in flames

  • @seanmacman15 As much as I want to agree with you, I can't. Have you heard "The Red In The Sky Is Ours?" It sounds nothing like late dissection. Even the most quintessential melodic death metal act, is fundamentally heavier than Reinkaos. Reinkaos is simply a hard rock album with solos and blackish vocals.

  • @Velcera

This IS actually melodic death metal. Surely not the more heavy more thrash or death metal influenced melodeath (like At the Gates' Slaughter of the Soul has a thrash feel to it). Oh and The Red in the Sky is Ours is actually not melodic death metal at all, it's normal death metal, it's devoid of the NWoBHM influence that is part of melodeath.

Sure it's not really heavy, it's as heavy as normal heavy metal, but really isn't hard rock.

  • @Velcera "the red in the sky is ours" is death metal, not melodeath. only the later at the gates albums are melodeath. i agree with seanmacman15 here, late dissection is melodeath. slow melodeath, but definitely still melodeath.

  • @Velcera

I would say Dissection is bluegrass-klezmer-rap, and this album in particular strongly influenced by Ace of Base's early material

  • @hellspawnds I strongly agree with you. Definitely can feel the accordion in this song.

  • @Velcera

Yes, I believe it's a Dr Dre beat.

  • @seanmacman15 true but remember this album is based on some of his beliefes

  • @Velcera just the reinkaos album

  • @Jarzkuy ive always considered earlier albums like the somberlain to be more black metal, this album is way more like melodic death metal. Its alot like kalmah or insomnium, just way heavier.

  • @Jarzkuy try listening to rotting christ. they are one of my favorite black metal bands and they are really good. some good songs by them that i like is "exiled archangel" and "he the aethyr"

  • @Jarzkuy Check out Abigail Williams. They're pretty epic (except their new album in my opinion). Look up their "Legend" EP. That's some of their best stuff.

  • @Jarzkuy Death is very similar in ''the sound of perseverance'' album.

  • @Jarzkuy what about dimmu borgir? rotting christ? cradle of filth? summoning?

  • @Jarzkuy

this album is more melodic death metal from the instrumental part... listen to "the somberlain" (old album from dissection) this was black metal... reinkaos is not really black metal, but i love this album, although I condemn the lyrics and the philosophy .... the music is great!

  • @Jarzkuy This is Anti-Cosmic Metal Of Death, my friend... Like Thulcandra...

  • @Jarzkuy Anti-Cosmic Metal Of DEATH

    21.12.2012

    2+1+1+2+2+-+1+2 = 11 BOOM HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • I would rather say R.I.C : REIGN IN CHAOS

  • RID?

i think you mean RIP xd

  • Jon died for our sins...

  • shouldve kept living and making amazing music

  • its rest in death,if you see ric its rest in chaos, the guy makes incredible music, but only a fool kills himself in the name of another entity (god, satan, whatever)as an atheist I believe he killed himself in vien.but none the less,i will remember DISSECTION for there great music

  • @LeTHALxHeaDBanG He killed himself after he reached the climax of his life. His whole philosophy was to continuously suffer so that, eventually, he would experience the greatest pleasure one can feel- relief from the suffering. After that, he felt there was no reason to live anymore.

  • why did he do it?

  • @murderaddiction ok,and that to me is foolish.

  • I respect suicide. But killing himself for a deity is a quite stupid action

  • Hey that's an interesting opinion. I agree suicide should be personal. Not in the name of a god.

  • @EvanMetalReaper he killed himself because he believed he had accomplished all he could in life

  • @EvanMetalReaper he was a stupid kid rofl

  • R.I.D? Rest In Dirt?

  • Rest In Darkness

  • Yes, Starless Aeon and God Of Forbiden Light are fantastic.

  • The melodies on this album are amazing, that was something that could always be remebered about DISSECTION!

  • @WhiplashDoogle the melodies in this album are not even close to the epicness of their earlier works, unless you appreciate bands like In Flames, this has nothing to do with Dissection...now the concept and lyrics are a whole different thing in this album, its indeed dark and poweful!

  • This is so much better than the average crap on radio. \m/
