  • This time is every time do you open the client PC or is only the first time you do it? I mean, every time i turn on the client PC, will be able to use in 5 minutes?

    Great tutorial, thanks a lot!

  • @xEXuBcN: The Client PC's had new drives in them, no OS in them at all. FOG migrated the images over to them in 5ish minutes. once that's done, the computer boots and works like normal (5:13). FOG is a fast and easy way to deploy an OS to a bunch of endpoints at once. and since it's an image you can preinstall software and preconfigure local settings. the thing to remember is that the GUID's need to be different for all your clients, that's where sysprep is needed.

  • @imykol i was asking you if every time i turn on the client PC's, each PC is going to take 5 minutes to turn on. Excuse me for my english, is difficult to me to express in that language.

  • @xEXuBcN Quick answer; No, after you FOG the client PC it will boot as normal in a minute or so.

  • Great tutorial.

I've been setting up a FOG server for our office (college environment, about 80 systems, ~65 lab PCs), and was trying to figure out multicasting...I didn't realize there was a "multicast" button in the "Task Management" area...there is none in the "Group Management" area.

All working like a charm. I highly recommend FOG over WDS.

    Thanks and nice job.
