  • Can you really see the colours when you look through your telescope?I am thinking of buying one similar to yours.

  • @denispkpk It depends on several factors. The human eye isn't capable of distinguishing colours in the dark. So while you can clearly see the cloud belts, they will appear to have a more grey-brown-like colour. The video however gives quite a good idea, what to expect.

  • This is very amazing! Every night that it is clear, I take a look at Jupiter and the Galilean moons. It truly is an amazing sight. You do great work!

  • very very nice films !

  • @TheAvigdor Thanks for your comments : )

  • hey- what is the focal ratio of your scope? it doesn't say in the description=)

  • @SaturnAndItsRings But you can easily calculate that. Focal length divided by diameter. 920/130 = f/7,08

  • @krisDM3000 thanks-i got a 6" SCT that's f/7. just wondering=)

  • Wow! Nice! What kind of telescope do u have anyway? XD

  • @TribalKing917 The video description is the answer to all your questions! (I hope)

  • Hey Kris, I'm wondering how did you get that clip and with what equipment. :)

  • @ColonelYoung Point the telescope at Jupiter and started filming with my digital camera mounted on a clamp system. As simple as that. Details in the video description.

  • How much was your telescope?

  • @BMXzombie123 €179. Don't know how much that is in dollars, but I wouldn't order this telescope if I were you because it has to be shipped from Europe. There are plenty of telescope companies in the US (Orion, Skywatcher, Meade).

  • Hey i was wondering what kind of telescope do you have? im really looking for a telescope that is nice but also cheap to see clearly on the moon :D!

  • @BMXzombie123 I have an Omegon Newtonian reflector telescope with a mirror diameter of 130mm and a focal length of 920. This telescope is already a perfect telescope to watch the moon.

  • really amazing, i feel like i am looking into the actual telescope, love it!

  • @maha77 That's my goal. Showing people how it will actually look like when looking through the telescope. Thanks for commenting : )

  • It's been a while ago the last time you uploaded a video :-) Great to see you have this nice shot of Jupiter for us, you woke up real early to capture this :P

    Good work!

  • @Astrofreack Thanks Astrofreack : )

  • Very nice view. I'm also was watching Jupiter today at 2:40 A.M. :) Greetings!

  • What a nice vid! Good stuff!

  • @mrastronomy15 Thanks for commenting : )

  • Nice, soon i will also get some new videos of Jupiter!

  • @Jonasdearaujo Can't wait to see those : )

  • nice shot :)

  • @caste2510 Thanks for commenting : )

  • Great Jupi 2011 !!...

  • @giofrasa Thanks Gio : )

  • Well, the Jupiter is back. :)

  • @gronki1 He sure is : D

  • great view of jupiter

  • @EKrassner90 Thank you for commenting : )

  • Great work Kris. I am glad that we could see again the SEB I have been waiting all winter. Cant wait to see more. Have a great summer dude.

    Clear skies

    Andy

  • @AndyTzan Thanks Andy! Don't forget to put the telescope outside every now and then ; )

  • Really amazing how you could capture this! Great job!

I was wondering lately, how's that missing belt doing and whether it returned. I'm fascinated to observe and film it this time!

  • @ParaglidingManiac The weather on Jupiter is still not entirely understood. It's hard to forecast the weather on our own planet, so can you imagine how hard it would be to forecast what will happen on Jupiter?

  • @Edsan91 Well in space norms, our storms are a bunch of pussies that's true. Thanks for commenting : )

  • wow!! I looked at it a couple mornings ago but i haven't been able to since because of thick smoke from wildfires that have been burning near were I live=( Nice job though!

  • @SaturnAndItsRings Wow man. Aren't those fires dangerous?

  • @krisDM3000 well yes they are but they arent burning near where i live, but the smoke has been so thick some days u can look right at the sun in the middle of the day and it is just a red ball

  • @SaturnAndItsRings Could you film that? I'd like to see how that is to be honest.

  • @krisDM3000 sure! in fact i aready have video of it...

  • Great video Kris, and kudos for getting up at 4am to make us this lovely video! Im gonna wait until ol Jupiter is doing more social hours. :)

  • @TelescopeAtNight I'm also gonna wait a little longer now, but since the weather forecast was that good, I just couldn't resist having a quick look at my favorite planet : )

  • Hier krijg ik kippenvel van! 3 x prachtig!

  • @KansasStorms Thanks for the comment Nathan! Oh and by the way: that Great Red Spot is a hurricane about 2,5 times bigger than the Earth. Wouldn't it be great to do some stormchasing over there? ; )

  • excelent

  • @w1k Thanks : )

  • video of the moon you lay out?

  • @Ant1fly There is a moon video coming up soon if that's what you mean.

  • great! windows in my house to the east, only the sky was in the clouds as they are now ...

  • @Ant1fly Yeah, that's annoying huh.

    Thanks for commenting comrade!
