Production has been shipped out (offshored). Services are threatened, with ATMs in the late 1960's, self-checkouts in grocery stores around 2002, vending machines for as long as I can remember, etc. What's next, robots that stock shelves?
America should show the Ab not the Flab America use to be the home strong people now its the home for McDonlds and Fries. We need to show some back bone and hit the gyms we need to get more exercise systems!!!
Liberals did away with physical education in schools because it promoted competition meaning someone would lose and get their feelings hurt which would lead to mental illness or other things that label those that don't want to get with the program.
The ALCU will stand up for your right to be labeled "defective".
@Gorillazfreak18 Clinton ran a surplus 2 out of 8 years. Get your facts straight. And it was not extreme. There has been no good president in the last 50 years anyway, and 24 of the last 27 years we have run a deficit. It just gets worse and worse, with Obama now running the biggest in history by far.
I agree with Gorillazfreak, he's right, it is disease/metabolism.
I eat ALL THE TIME and I'm fucking skinny. In fact, most SUPER skinny people like me do eat a lot, and I know other people who are fat that BARELY eat.
And YES, I have a doctor and he told me it depends on the individual. Some people exercise, some eating, etc.
This bitch is uneducated and has no idea what she's talking about.
Most people that are MORBIDLY obese have a disease. If you don't believe me, ask any doctor, who spent 10 years in college, not some uneducated welfare mom.
Priceless comment! This is a high school kid who calls himself "pretty well eduated" So he is neither, in all reality, educated or gainfully employed.
While I am uneducated (UNC-CH Dean's List grad, some time in business school, some time in Oxford University) on welfare (well, I am a Federal Gov't employee, being a Congressional Communications Director, so I will give him that) but I am most definitely NOT a Mom. At least not yet.
it all started with the elimination of competition in schools, when all the kids had to "feel good", not be labeled losers. It used to fat was a badge of shame, now it's a inherited condition....
You need to understand that the "people" are no longer equal shares in wealth -the same owners that lobby congress & own the Fed own China...and will end up with more of the US.
You and the Chinese people(who have no say & were never "benificiaries")inherit the debt.
You are not yet seeing the BIG picture.
And "living Large" is NOT an issue fiats with Fractional banking is.
Is it that regulation makes it impossible to run a company or impossible to run it at the profit level that executives want? And what about the national pasttime of searching out the cheapest price possible? How much of it is the upward spiral of WANT WANT MORE? How much of it is the laws that allow businesses to declare losses for fascitious paper scenarios?
Again I get that you are not making fun of the obese. Perhaps these realities could play back into your model: Could it be that many people lack the resources to avoid these toxic ubiquities? Income to purchase organic foods or land to garden and raise their own food? Time to do extra shopping or learning to beat the million dollar investment in their purchase decisions?
NAFTA undercut and destroyed countless corn Mexican farms and caused malnourishment and mass migration [Earth Island Jrnl]
Well said, appreciate some great points! Did I hear you talk about over regulating US businesses? To make literal use of the main subject of your metaphor: lack of regulation and oversight has led to a new level of ubiquity of: persuasive ads, & substances in our food which are cited as contributing to obesity. HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP plays havoc with our digestion & contributes to insulin resistance. PESTICIDES, neurotoxins to insects & humans: contribute to a lowered muscular awareness.
Why do you think we even USE high fructose corn syrup? Because special interests have lobbied for tarriffs and regulations that make real sugar too expensive. Its TOO MUCH government that is the problem, not too little.
We are witnessing the globalist agenda coming to fruition. Break the USA financially, culturally, spiritually and Educationally. Remove the US Constitution and bill of rights incrementally. Bring on the North American Union, the Amero and the New World Order.
Good stuff. We will follow the constitution, or we will all fade into the night. Liberty will be no more if we all don't make our own worlds free from tyranny. Freedom starts with us. Good to see it still strong in you, R.
I think your very qute! I live the way you think as well. You have an honesy sounding voice, and kind eyes. I have to ask if you have a bf of hubby. If not. My only question is why?
Saving as a cure for our economic woes has become conventional wisdom, but I think the logic is flawed. Explaining the economics of it won't fit (money contraction and flow mostly), but paying off large debts would bankrupt the country and make it impossible for many decades to restore an economy to one based on production. The cure is to reform the monetary system, a system that has enabled our present economy, much like the person who enables an obese woman. Love the Fed videos though!
Something I always wondered about since the age of 10 is how come every 3rd building is a bank. Even at that age it seemed very odd to me. I mean, shouldn't there be show factories and stuff like that around here some place?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I think it's funny, that you make such a speech, which is good and true, but then show that dog, and your shiny new housem and complain about actual work(moving).. All signs of terrible yuppie-isms, and the reason North American culture sucks. I can only hope, that you borrowed that dog, from some republican, to make some sarcastic point of humor. The only thing that could make this funnier, would be for you to have been 700 pounds.
see, its not consuming that's bad. I love consuming. It's consuming beyond what you have any ability to repay that will kill your family's finances and will kill us economically as a nation.

This is a rare opportunity for ALL OF US to make our voices heard (esp. by body count) in the beltway.
Great to see you back Rachel! And nice digs you've got there.
The move from a production-based economy to a "service-based" economy was one of the worst moves that our plutocratic corpora-govt ever made. Also, the idea of changing a savings-based economy to a credit (debt) -based economy, was also a fundamental error. Everything works out great for the banks in this scenario - and they've primarily been the promoters and enablers of much of this. And I'm certain they will continue to thrive.
I agree with the part about government spending and regulation but not about stopping me from buying a freightliner at the lowest possible price or my close, shoes, appliances, the computer that has allowed you to enlighten me. if people were not consumers than they'd all be farmers and that sounds good until it doesn't rain one year and we all die like Ethiopians.
Obviously I see nothing wrong with consuming. Or buying cheap. But America has to become competitive again. We have to figure out how to make cheap stuff too. Or make things efficiently and cost-effectively, I mean. That's what I meant by job-killing regulation and such...
I don't disagree with the spirit of your case but I really don't think we need to make things any cheaper or be more competitive. The root of the problem is greed, in my opinion. I think if big business owners and large corps would be ok with owning let's say only one mansion while being a lot more appreciative/generous to the supporting backbone (us) we wouldn't have these issues. The whole focus, drive, and purpose of life in their eyes is disgustingly flawed, again, in my opinion. Great vids
I don't want to get into the business of telling people how many mansions its ok to own.
Cause maybe, just maybe, if I work really hard and earn my way up, I could have a mansion or two as well. And I certainly don't want people poking in my business telling me what is and is not OK for me to buy. As long as I earned it.
Excellent analysis and welcome back Rachel. I look forward to seeing more material soon, provided that you are legally able to.
P.S. - If we stop consuming as we do, most of us will still be too stupid to recognize that what will follow will be a correction and not an economic downturn.
And again, you hit the nail RIGHT on the head! Good video my Friend. FYI I still have my 4 magnetic signs on my truck for Ron Paul :) RON PAUL 2008! It's STILL for America!
