The protest here in Nashville yesterday drew a grand total of 3 protesters! Only 1 wore a mask - I guess because they realize that Fair Game is an over-exaggerated conspiracy theory that isn't used on people that don't matter and don't make a difference.

At the CMA show 2 weeks ago, Scientologists were doing volunteer clean up in the park after the concert. Scientologist Elisabeth Donaldson said they gave out 26,000 pieces of Scientology flyers (mostly tickets to see the Dianetics film). I wonder how many of their own material they cleaned up? I saw hundreds of those Dianetics things on the ground between 2nd and 5th ave. Their money goes to wasteful spending on printing which they then volunteer to clean up when they get thrown away.

First of all, none of those who showed up are athiests. We are all different religions, but religion is not what is in question here. Scientology has a horrible record regarding human rights and we feel that this is something that needs to be brought to the attention of the people of Nashville. There was no intent to 'insinuate' (I believe you mean 'incite') a riot -- we were exercising our right to protest, something codified in the Constitution as the right to peaceably assemble.

Here's what i am going to say. I do not believe in Scientology and that is my right as an American citizen. However since the day this country was founded, we've had the freedom of religion. You have the right to believe whatever you please, even if it's some religion worshiping some lizard creature. I choose to believe in the ONE true GOD and his son Jesus Christ. Actually I didn't wear a mask because I've already had threatening letters sent to me and my family, so what's the point in trying to hide anymore? The guy who wasn't wearing a mask usually tries to cover his face with a bandanna, but for whatever reason, he didn't this time around. We had less people this month because our protesters have lives unlike Scientology staff members and Sea Org. Sorry about that.

At the CMA show 2 weeks ago, Scientologists were doing volunteer clean up in the park after the concert. Scientologist Elisabeth Donaldson said they gave out 26,000 pieces of Scientology flyers (mostly tickets to see the Dianetics film). I wonder how many of their own material they cleaned up? I saw hundreds of those Dianetics things on the ground between 2nd and 5th ave. Their money goes to wasteful spending on printing which they then volunteer to clean up when they get thrown away.

First of all, none of those who showed up are athiests. We are all different religions, but religion is not what is in question here. Scientology has a horrible record regarding human rights and we feel that this is something that needs to be brought to the attention of the people of Nashville. There was no intent to 'insinuate' (I believe you mean 'incite') a riot -- we were exercising our right to protest, something codified in the Constitution as the right to peaceably assemble.

Last February, we all gathered together in memory of Lisa McPherson -- that's how it all started. We aren't protesting freedom of religion, but rather offering the other side and allowing them to make a decision themselves. There is a free version of Scientology called Freezone, one which doesn't have the same nefarious history, and it would be delightful to see current Scientologists go there instead of remaining under the bureaucracy. Only two of us were wearing masks -- I do not wear one.

And when it comes to the police force, these are not MNPD officers -- they are from Spring Hill and broke the law by being there without informing MNPD that they would be there. The MNPD officers are huge supporters of us and recognise our rights unlike the Spring Hill officers. The Scientologists had purchased a permit that allowed them to close the sidewalk from public access, enforced by a private security company who attempted to arrest the students as they casually, innocently strolled past, recoding the strip without concern. Actually, from what I understand, the Nashville police have stated on record that those security guards were off-duty policemen and women from neighboring Spring Hill, and did not have a license to practice in Davidson County, and they were not wearing identifiable uniforms, both of which are entirely illegal activities, then on top of that, practicing what amounts to assault on citizens legally exercising their 1st amendment right to free speech---i.e. walking on a sidewalk.
