other than people from or around indy, i think it's safe to say most indy fans are fans because of peyton manning. i highly doubt most indy fans you run into in other parts of the country like new york, mass, connecticut, california, texas, etc were fans back in the ted marchibroda and jim "captain comeback" harbaugh days or before that
