@popitinpete Sting played Fender Precision and Ibanez Musician fretless basses live with the Police most of the time. He briefly tried using fretless eight strings custom made by Ibanez and Hamer. During the last two or three years of touring he switched over to fretted basses by Steinberger and Spector live.
Never understood how Sting could get pissed that Stewart and Andy didnt go at tempo!

This version just explodes energy at 1:45. Soooperb! Didn't notice before but Sting's P-bass is a fretless here.
