This is awesome!!! i thought it was impossible for a normal person who wasn't famous like Horowitz or Ashkenazy to play this. I hear some of the finger stretches in the third movement are so big Rachmaninoff had to snip the webbings in his fingers to play them ouch! either way nice job.

I do not think this piece is too big for you. I think you are doing an absolutely admirable job, and any great virtuoso will be happy to give you a masterclass to improve the details that need to be polished. You have done something great! Don't mind the ASSmanyaspossibles of the world....

Have you heard the Mikhail Pletnev recording of this concerto? If not, I thoroughly recommend it - most recordings over-mic the piano, and after hearing Pletnev's version, it's really clear that even though this piece is hard, it's not a showpiece at all. He blends the piano and orchestra perfectly, and it's absolutely amazing.

Just saying; spend some time listening to that and working through how the piano relates to the orchestration, and you'll be even better at this. Good work!

I do like this video. I tried a couple of other versions of this, including Rachmaninoff"s own version, and I didn't hear anything that puts your version down. I believe you did hit it with some precision.

All these people are blowing sunshine up your ass; this is terrible. I give you credit for choosing a great piece of music to attempt, but this is way over your head. I hate to think about the incredible amount of time you wasted learning to play this so pisspoorly. That time would be much better spent learning something simpler and actually playing it well.
