This is the clearest example of a UFO sighting I have ever witnessed on Youtube. I paused it and zoomed in and you can make out what looks almost like the letter "N" followed by the letters "ASA" across the hull of their sphere as it hovered motionless to the far left of the space shuttle. This looks like footage from a FLIR Thermal Imaging camera. It detects differences in heat signatures. This would explain the "flashing light" effect you are seeing. I think it's birds, flapping their wings. Cold wings, warm body=flashing light(heat).

I do agree that they seem to be staying in one place for an extended period of time, however this is not out of the range of a bat's capability. I will not say it's a definite, just an observation from myself. Though I will admit the shapes look elongated, and when compared proportionally seem to be larger than any flyer.

Their wings are only reflecting nearby light sources at the right angle for the camera to catch. They are much closer than the platform you see in the background. It is moisture droplets on a cob web or spider web that is gently moving in the breeze, reflecting the infrared lights from the camera off the moisture droplets. I can send you hundreds of hours of video like this from many different dvr systems that depict the same type of apparent phenomenon.
