There is no break-in required with roller cams.

everyone whos saying hes breaking the cams in, its just cold start... all honda motors run at about 2000 rpm on a cold start to warm up the motor a lil faster.

Although it is breaking in the cams aswell. :D

Have u dyno's the car? What numbers did u get? What was the gain?

when you first install cams you have to let your car idle at 2000 rpms for a while to break them in and then drive around shifting at around 3000-4000 rpms to break them in or else youll mess them up badly

oh i see so im getting sum skunk 2 stage 2 cams soon for my ek4 so is this how would have to run them in and how do i set the idle up to 2k thanks bud

probly high rev cuz it needs tunning or mebe the idle is too lumpy at lower that 2000

Hes breaking the cams in. Since the cams need to be broken in he has to idle it high and then needs to drive around at around 3500-4000 rpm shifts in every gear.

well it is mentioned that its his first start up so im pretty sure it is cold.

but ur engine temp seems to be in the middle. anyways my friend had put cams in his gsr and he said he got more power mid-high range. idk if its gonna be the same for our k20...im thinkin bout gettin toda cams...idk no tho
