hey i think canada can have a marine corps by reinstating the Canadian corps it has 4 division so it would make space for 40,000 troops and would add our manpower plus the army with 36,000 would make a total of 86,000 troops
ffs it wasn't just Canada yes they got it in the end but everyone else lade the gowned work we all fought and all captured it the British and commonwealth
Is there more to this? I wouldn't mind seeing something with the depth of Iron Maiden's song about this battle. I think something like that needs to be produced to show what it was really like.
WW1 was an extremely complex war, and there is a very large amount of information to consider when you discuss who started it. I believe that it has its roots in the secretive and manipulative world of European politics dating from around 1890 to around 1910.
all this hate towards the british when ultimately the germans started the war and just as many brits died if people acctually learned instead of acting big we would be in a whole better situation
@machierl The Germans were the largest cause of the war but didn't necessarily START it. Read up on 1900s German imperialism and you will know they were spoiling for a war
Great video, My Grandfather was a soldier with Canada during ww1 and wounded twice once at ST.JULIEN 1915 AND AT VIMY 1917 48th Highlanders 15th Battalion Ladies from Hell kilted unit.
Which British colony was the first always to charge at the enemy during WW1? Australians and New Zealanders. We got screwed over sooooo many times by the Brits. May they rest in peace +
@ThatTankid Don't be a cunt, the Brits didn't screw any of their colonies over. It was a team effort. It didn't matter who was first to charge, they all ended up dead or wounded.
@AlienFirefox Don't be a bitter fool. You think we didn't die too? We died in our MILLIONS! Australia, Canada and New Zealand eagerly joined the war on the side of Britain because they saw Britain as their motherland, and they wanted to help defend the motherland from German aggression. Britain had no choice but to fight in the war, if they hadn't fought it Germany would have ruled all of Europe and from then on Britain's fate would have been sealed. We all died bravely as brothers in arms
@AlienFirefox We allowed the dominions of our empire to have their own generals. So no, you are wrong. British generals only commanded British mainland troops. The British dominions were commanded by generals native to that dominion.
Hello Darling this is the Army ,,,they just give me the time to write,,,today we attack theres no turning back the boys are already for the fight,,,,yes im well but this place is like hell and they call it PASSCHENDAELE...
@kaliban4 It's because there was little gained. The British and French lost a generation of young men and only gained Germany's overseas colonies in exchange. It pretty much set the stage for World War Two, and the dissolution of Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire led directly to further ethnic/religious unrest in those areas.
@kaliban4 War has no winners. Generals win the war, but people lose their live.
Just a piece of mud, now back peacefull soil in Belgium. May the ones whom lost their lives, Germans, French, Brittish, Belgian, Canadian, Australian, New Zeeland and many others never been forgotten. Eternal peace for them.

@jpr21b And that is a real shame because not only was it the first true WORLD WAR but after this war things would never be the same.
