1. Not one kid, or even the director looked like they even ATTEMPTED to show ANY emotion.

2. Tone quality sucked.

6. I did this song with my high school about a month ago and the performance in this video reflected our first sight reading rehearsal of it.

I just came from touring and performing in Europe with a choir of about 120 comprised of both high school and college musicians. We went with a group called Voyagers International and this was one of our songs that we performed. I cringed during this entire video for all the reasons you just listed and then some! I'm going to try and post a video of our performance on here....it will blow this one out of the water. We had so much choreography for this song and we loved performing it.

The tempo's not bad, strictly in terms of how fast I think the song ought to be. The fact that it changes constantly isn't that great, and yes, they speed up insanely during the claps.

Just as an afterthought, there ought to be more tenor.

We sang this song a couple of years ago in my choir, and I am a geek and still listen to it all the time :). It wasn't bad, except the clapping is WAY ahead of the tempo (there was a problem with this in my group as well) and there is one soprano1 who needs to back off. She sticks out like a sore-thumb, and that's not the point of being in a choir. :)
