  • I bought one, and swear by it.

  • im unsure what the whole phantom power thing is, but i want to know will this and the c3 still work with a xlr to usb cable?

  • I would never use this brand for anything. Might as well by your gear at Walmart.

  • can you use this with guitar amps?

  • Exellent mic for the the price. Just bought one a week ago and it sounds great...

  • Also it is phan-Tom not phannum you blithering muppet !!

You know as in PhanTom of the opera !!

  • If you can't pronounce Behringer correctly how do you expect to be taken seriously ??

Google Forvo for correct pronunciation !!

  • @domnal A major US distributor and they can't even pronounce the name correctly!

  • @CrankCase08 I just feel sorry for Mr Uli - he must know that they aren't being bad mannered just pig-ignorant

never to have found out never to have asked the man how HE says his name and then tried that. I suppose he must think as I do that that is all they can manage !! It is a great shame .

  • man Im new at this stil not sure if to get c1 or c3 i mean is there any dif other than the

    dual-diaphragm on the c3?

  • will this work with gearbox?

  • The C1 was my first mic. its cheap, so dont expect much out of it...If want good sound for a decent price, get the AKG 420 Perception. Its $300. I use the Audio- Technica AT4050 now though.

  • Totally useless video....

  • @BloodLinePictures now we know everything about your voice... need some sound sample captured by microphone :)

  • I've got a C-3 that works great!

  • this mic is bullcrap. I have it and cant even use it, the manuel is in french and when I brought a USB adapter to connect it to my laptop the damn thing doesnt want to turn on. it seems this mic wont work unless you have a mixer no matter what you do. it might be a great mic for others, but it sucks for me,

  • @BloomingCherries They work with only 48 volt phantom power, you need either a mixer or usb interface with 48 volt phantom power for it to work. I have this mic n I gotta say it sounds great for the price. =]

  • @DoNtBeEfWiThEeF would you know where I can find the USB interface cable and how much they are?

  • @BloomingCherries Well what I used for mine was, a Behringer uca202 usb interface n Behringer Xenyx 802 Mixer, I ran my mic into my mixer n my mixer into the usb interface, n then the usb interface straight into the laptop it cost me around 100 euro in total. Forget to mention you should also get a set of rca connectors to connect the mixer into the usb interface. If your confused hit me up, I got a video running of my lil studio up, check it out to give you an idea.

  • @DoNtBeEfWiThEeF oh god, that sounds to much work, I don't have any of that and 100 euros? I'm in the states so I already know that's going to be well over 150 for me, why spend around 150 on equipment to work a 40 dollar mic. its to much for me, I'll just sell my mic. thanks for the help though^^

  • @BloomingCherries Such a shame, because when you this mic to work, it really does work well. You can always sell your mic n get a usb mic? The prices vary but maybe that would be more suited to your needs. Well good luck with your decision. =]

  • @BloomingCherries if you listened to the man in this video your mic would be workinq.! PHANTOM POWER.!!!

  • @YOUNGFRESHMAN619 yea...guess what, I dont have it...

  • if you have a mixer do you need to buy a preamp?

  • hai check out this mic its good

    thats what this is

  • what mic should i get

    OfficialDreTv?feature=mhum

  • OfficialDreTv?feature=mhum

  • i´m all in akg! I mean the headphones are amazing and i ordered a akg groovepack drum mic set i think that´s awesome to!

  • Do you need a mixer for the mic to work?

  • @kennyjayentertains yes but not necessary. the only thing you need is a mic amp that can do 48V phantom power of the mic since Condenser mic to work. if you dont have mixer but have an audio interface like USB or Firewire that has an 48V phantom power ability you can just plugin the mic without a problem... I hope that helps

  • you never give a sample of sound...which out which i feel your video is completely pointless

  • I got nothing Joe . FAIL

  • what is phantom power???

  • @robhay123 A voltage supplied from the mixer (most times ) into the circuitry of the mic normally 48volt . It is used to power the circuitry of the mic itself . for a better sound output .

  • is the only difference between this and the C3 that the C3 has switches.

  • haha so random

"well its a large diaphragm condensor mic from behringer... its got a red light!"

    haha

  • i wana buy this mic but idk if it will work with my mixer i bout

i got the alesis usb mixer ...u think itl work ??

  • @esepelon903 as long as it has phantom power then it will work

  • can u use this microphone with any mixer /???

cuz i got an alesis usb mixer ?

  • i juss bought this on ebay

  • is this a usb microphone?

  • I use the Samson co1u which I think is better, listen to 'fallin' over' on my channel to compare! EVERYTHING IN MY SONGS IS MADE IN GARAGEBAND!

  • I LOVE companies like Behringer that give provide 95% or more of the of functionality of high end equipment for 10% of the price I love my Behringer monitors, BCR2000 and notice MANY famous performers at concerts I attend use Behringer equipment such as the ADA8000. Thank you Behringer for helping people GET THE JOB done without selling our birthrights to do so.

  • I had this mic...it's not great.

  • @IRTOMM what mic would u suggust? i know owl city used this mic to record their song fireflies

  • I know this needs phantom power so if u use an XLR to 1/4 inch cable will i still get phantom power? CAn you get phantom power through a 1/4 inch cable?

  • this is good for recording guitar amp?

  • Yes it is

  • how would you rate this microphone on a scale of 1-5? anyone can answer

  • about 4

  • 0:45

  • notice how he seems to stutter when he says 'this is a great vocal mic'

    somehow I DOUBT IT! lol

  • @jimmyrich1 Did you notice he's not speaking in it its not on -.-

  • this mic is shit!

  • hey if i get this and a xenyx 502 what else will i need to get guitar sound on my computer thanks

  • some sort of interface

for recording guitar dont get this mic, get a dynamic mic, and maybe get an interface with preamps and you wont need a mixer at all

  • dont get a xenyx thingy, it does fuck all basically, i made that mistake thinking it wud go into the computer, get a tascam audio interface...it will basically allow 2 mics to get recorded into the computer at once on seperate tracks. its really useful, a xynex mixer wont really help u

  • So is this xlr?

  • @donovanx3 Yes it is

  • i have the same mic

  • that wasn't a day, don't waste my time you dick

  • how can i buy the cord for it

  • just any xlr will do :)

  • Help me guys please !

If i use Behringer C-1 + Mixer Behringer xenyx 802 + Sound CARD Audiophile 2496

    Can i have a professional Sound ??

I just record my voice becouse i make rap

  • Look up "demo" in a dictionary please. Now rename the video please.

  • seriously, so many misconceptions on youtube

  • @tooosweeet its a demonstration of how to hold it when your showing it to a camera

  • Hi, I have a question. Is big different between C-1 and C-3 ? Thanks for response!

  • This big difference is that the C-3 offers omni directional and figure-eight pickup patterns. It also has a low cut filter and a -10 dB signal level switch

  • can you plug it in a camer???

  • this mic is very good ! BUY IT!

  • hey, since you think this mic is good, i need to ask you a question.

i am in a 4piece band, and we are wanting to record a few songs, maybe to put up on youtube.

can we put a mic next to an amp, and still get a good sound out of this?

also, if we all get 1mic each, there will be 4mics(obv), so does that mean that we can record drums with 4mics, or am i thinking the wrong way?

  • 1: yes you can but you will need a mixer to make it sounds right. 2: yes ofc.. I got 3 of those mics and i record guitar my voice and drums.. And one more thing you will need phantome power on your mixer. couse this is a condenser mic. hope you make the right choice.

  • @JaderbergMartin Shure SM57 -

  • look i bought a USB C1U the usb condenser and it doesnt work, its not the mics fault but yh. look all in all behringer is a sick brand but the quality aint the best. i might buy one of these mics

  • I have a Question... i have this mic but they say i need phantom power... well i m about to buy one phantom power supply but i don t know how to connect the mic to the phantom power i have a XLR cable that i can connect to the Mic thats it.. can you help me please?

  • you need 2 mic cables. just send one from your mic to the phantom box and yhan the other from your phanton box to your sound cars or computer what ever your using for recording

  • What Kinda mic cables man? like both are supposed to be the same? or two kinds?

  • sorry. it depends on your phantom power box and sound card. some have hybrid cable jacks. idk sorry man

  • Sheesh, dont these mics take a battery also ?

    My Shures do!

You should be able to get 48v phantom power from your mixer!

All Behringer mixers inc the small 1s like my Xenyx 1204 has phantom power as standard!

  • Haha Funny !

  • I bought TWO of these Mics, they are noisy as hell!!!

It is not a continuous hiss, but a sound like frying sausages!!!!!

These are absolute shit don't buy one!!!

  • dude, make sure your interface and xlr cables dont suck either, i have an mbox2 running on mogami 2549 cable to the c1, and it actually sounds warmer and fuller than my shure sm57 or 58. and plus i got it for 34 bucks on ebay :p

  • dude cuz it's a piece of shit condenser mic. condensers pick up sound from everywhere. you need to be in a sound proof room to get the best out of it. you should probably just use a dynamic mic instead which sound great and and pick up the sound of your neighbors having sex, just the sound that's in a very short radius.

  • well your a dumb ass if you record in open room now eh? trying using a closet -.-

  • Well, i kinda want to buy it..

Are you sure that the microphone is bad?

It looks like this microphone is one of the bests..

  • DanielMovieMaker I have given an HONEST opinion of this Mic. If you use it close up, (as in Vocal) it is not brilliant but OK. If you want to record a Piano from 1 Meter, the noise is almost as loud as the Piano. I have 32 Years experience of building Electronics for Research, so I do understand Signal To Noise Ratio.

You must decide my friend, I just tell it as it is, I gain nothing by telling Lies.

  • Thanks for the answer =]

  • Did you tried recording it on a proper studio?

I teste one, and while you can complain about excess brightness and lack of midrange, noise floor is not a problem. If you're trying to record a piano from 1 Meter, you'd better do it on a soundproof environment, because it's not directional.

I actually tested it on the 12th floor and could hear people talking on the street. So, too sensible, yes. Noisy? Not at all.

It is a VERY cheap microphone, but it still give it a 7/10 on sound quality.

  • Just to correct you, the C1 is Directional, it has a Cardioid Responce.

I am not the only person on YouTube to say the C1 is noisy. Any way it is no longer a problem for me as I have modified the FET circuitry. The s/n ratio is improved by 10dB.

  • I don't know anything about mics so help me out.

If I get this, can I plug it straight into the line-in of my iMac and use it in garageband etc.? I'm looking to record vocals and maybe some acoustic guitar....

  • what does he mean when he says the mic needs power from the mixer? is it not just plian XLR?

  • Phantom power.

Most mixers and 8tracks have a phantom power button.

  • isn't this pretty much a c01u but not a USB?

  • b1 is good but c1 is shit trust thir like 20 pound das how much i brawt it

  • Learn to fucking write properly before judging a mic from its retail cost you illiterate dick.

  • YES B1 NOT C1

  • I am getting it for Christmas :D

  • shit mic... i've that mic

  • bad workman...

  • I have one. Brilliant sounding mic

  • very nice demo! Would like to have heard it but nevermind! :)
