  • why go turbo? whats the displacement?

just wondering, not here to bash only to learn :-)

  • @sparkysmini

Why go turbo? Seems like a completely pointless question..... to go faster?

Do you know how turbo's work?

The exhaust gases flowing through the exhaust flow past "fan baldes" which are connected to another "fan balde" - which draws air in, and pushes it to the throttle body. Then because its forcing more air into cylinder [thus raising compression] you can add more fuel - and THAT is how you tune an engine. More air - more fuel - more power.

    Simpliest description

  • @LIP15 yea i do know how turbos work do you know how a rotex works? i work with those every day for the last 3 years... turbo's are the way of the past to me anyway.

  • @sparkysmini

I have got no ida what a rotex is. Please ellaborate.

  • i am part of cyclone motorsport and i would like to mention that this mini was running on only7 psi of boost and a bit of gas. it was the cars first outing with the new turbos and i cant wait to see what it will do in the future, with all this power to come.
