  • Paul looks soo pretty in this video!! *-*

  • This is such a good song!!!!

    so many memories

  • a classic!!!

  • Brilliant song. Really a classic in every sense!

  • Oh yeah, THIS SONG is great, timeless stuff.

  • Gojira are crushingly heavy! As are Dagoba, another french metal band. Pleymo are a great rock/metal band, usually sing in french (which sounds better IMO).

  • woow, that is so old! :)

  • OMG!! He already is into those guys. He just recently got into them. The heaviest I will go is Nothingface or some Soulfly.

  • Very very nice tune

  • why is the guy in this so familiar? great song and he makes a brilliant vamp

  • just absolutely mint!

  • WOW it's george best at 3:11! haha good song though. definitely timeless

  • one of the best, bang bang.

  • Paul, your a legend!

  • its a song about depression wot a tune cocaine excelsis!

  • Timeless.

  • I am 58 and started listening seriously to music at 4. Got a set of drums at 6,rockin out to 45's.Played drums in the 60's until 1971.Followed every new music trend. This is one of my favorite songs of all time.

  • so effin good. reminds of walking drunk through manchester yrs ago!

  • I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it and over 10 years later it hasn't lost even a bit of its appeal. This is truly one of the great singles of the past several decades.

  • jesus always thought this was a faith No More song .............

  • this is an amazing song!

its mind blowing when you compare it to the trash that is thrust down our throats in the UK today!

talentless twats from Xfactor who couldnt write a song to save their life and american rappers. what has happened to music! :(

  • damn straight. thumb up lad !

  • very nice music

  • yes lickicatsbum the 90s were the best im mid 30s now and want britpop back aand this song was part of it

  • Best song ever :-)

  • The 90s was the best time for music and just the best time fullstop

  • yes, they were all related to charles Manson and had to return to jail where they're planning to cause civil war in America.

  • don't forget Britney Spears and her song `look at my boobies bounce' This changed many kids lives and helped build america to the great nation it is today.

  • stargate669-You must give us more credit then that. The US has put great music on the map. BB King, Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, to name a few. America is where Rock and Roll evolved. The Brits also have some great icons such as Queen, Zeplin, Pink Floyd, The Beatles. Britney Spears or Boy George? We all have a Britney. lol!! Cheers!

  • i agree totaly, im from england(liverpool) and both have the best and the worse

    x

  • I'm a Brit and I agree with you. America and Britain produce the best music I believe because we influence each other constantly. It is imposible to say which country is greater at rock n roll. Basically both countries ROCK. (Have you heard french music?)

  • Some French music. I get to listen to it when my husband is blasting my eardrums out to some French metal. I must admit, it's not my favorite.

  • Gojoira, get him into them. French black metal

  • *Gojira. yes they're awesome. saw them open for In Flames.

  • Indeed, I have also come to the same conclusion. As a Canadian, I feel that throughout the ages and into today, British and American music are my favourite.

Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Aerosmith, Zepplin, Guns n Roses, The Darkness, Muse, Radiohead, Oasis... great artists off the top of my head.

Canada has what? Our Lady Peace... that's about it. Some people like Arcade Fire, me not so much. Sum41's fucking rubbish.

Belgium's doing well though, K's choice and Zornik are good artists.

  • One of the Best bands in the world came from Canada.....RUSH. They are a bit before my time, but thier music is timeless.

  • Canada has Rush!! D:

  • Canada also gave us the mighty Devin Townsend.

  • I think he is

  • love this song

  • hahaha me five (i'm lying)

  • They split up. Paul Draper is currently working on his solo album.

  • great song! i totally remember this song now! wow, seems like forever ago watching this...i remember they did a bad ass song with 808 state

  • YEAH!!! Skin Up Pin Up!

  • never a big fan, but this is one hell of a song, along with "Six" & "Legacy".

They could write and play for sure

  • The guy who is on this video looks like Gary Lightbody who is menber of Snow Patrol.

Don't you think? I just guessed...

  • I would be really offended if someone told me that.

  • ACDC pwnz. Btw

  • Awesome song...real chill music with some meaning. A+

  • very good song ,oasis are a different genre, at one time they tried to copy the beatles.what a damn shame they don't even tie up their shoe laces musically and lyrically

  • I take it that was a typo? You missed the 'n't' after the 'are.'

  • Poor simple lad, chin up.

  • Great, great track. When it was released I was at the Isle of Man TT races. Douglas prom, 1am, German bikers doing burn outs and wheelies, chaos, someone pulls up in an old Fiesta with a stereo worth more than the car, windows down, full blast Mansun, wide open space. Ye...heaven.

  • Love this song! This was by far Mansun's best in my opinion. Reminds me of the mid 90's and the height of Britpop

  • yeh acdc were good but to compare this 2 acdc is like comparing metallica to pussycat dolls gr8 britpop tune

  • great band ...brill song went to see them live and they were amazing...by the way the lad in the video used to be in hollyoaks.....

  • Who gives a fuck about Hollyoaks? Any person who watches that POS program needs a fuckin' lobotomy...

  • i dont watch it...someone wanted to now where they had seen the lad in the video before thats all...blimey chill mate.....

  • Whilst this isn't one of their best tracks, it's still bloody awesome. This is a stand out tune from an era of stand out tunes.......quality tune...........

  • I actually never got Mansun, like this evening I've been dipping into all that dire indie I used to love. Space, Cast, Ash, all really quite awful but at the time they were the business!

I mean the music isn't THAT bad but it sure is sounding dated, its funny what impresses you when youthful.

Still though, enjoying my walk down pre puberty way :D

  • Who is the bloke in the video, he looks familiar? Top tune by the way :)

  • They never matched this song? Guys have you REALLY listened to their first two albums? This is NOT even one of their best song for Christ's sake.

  • Actually there are songs they did i prefer - i quite like stripper vicar. But i don't think they had anything else that transcends

    what their fans would like.

  • This is the song that got me to love them. So yeah, i would say it's one of their best songs!

  • Heard this on Jack Osbourne Adrenaline Junkie last night and forgot what a top tooon this is! :)

  • lol me too!!

  • hahaha me three

  • the difference between radiohead and Mansun is that radiohead were able to take alternative rock and sell it to millions. Mansun are good but they can't compete with that achievement.

  • better than radiohead? behave yourself

  • All I said was that I "prefer" Mansun's songs. I didn't say who was better.

  • I prefer this band to Radiohead, any day!

  • I dunno, i don't think they were ever able to match this song... radiohead have many classics.

  • Always thought this song was by Tears for fears

  • this band was (still for me) class!

  • swellerifik, is all!

  • the greg downey remix to this is awesome!

  • the voice is CC but good

  • re:muse - total mansun fucking rip-off,

and that muse leads singer's a reet fuckwit..he;s not the real deal, looks like a hospital cleaner with that daft £300 haircut, some people are naturally cool and stylish ie morrissey but he's just SOO ordinary

  • the new greg downey remix is amazing as well

  • I might get kicked for saying this, but i think Muse owes this band a nod or something.

  • Fantastic band however heres a story for you all. They were due to play at the Square in Harlow , arrived late and then , as they opened the van doors to get their gear out , managed to drop a crate of beer and in a totally schoolboy strop cancelled the gig on the spot!!! lol! A true story - i was due to do their lighting that night!

  • Absolute class.

    A mirror of TfF.

  • luv this song 1996 brill.feels like y/day..still fresh

  • Martino Lazzeri (sp?) was in The Lodge, Grange Hill and later on Hollyoaks. I used to fancy him when I was younger.

  • OMG total classic. One of the most under rated bands of their era. They remind me of Muse a bit.

  • one of britpops lost tunes

  • this song reminds me jeff buckley tunes like 'grace' and 'last goodbye'...and the early radiohead of course

  • who is the main guy? he looks familiar

  • they´re great

  • one of the most underated bands of all time ... period ...

  • I can't believe this video was made during 1997 because it looks like it was made in 2000. The first time I saw this video was a few weeks ago when this music channel was doing a special on Mansun and I instantly liked the song but didn't know it was released in 1996. god, if only I knew better, then I wouldn't have had to resort to lame-ass hootie and the blowfish crap. LOL

  • it does look as if it was made in after the year 2000...i was positive that this song was released in the last couple of years...

  • LOOOOVE THIS SONG! Thank you so much for uploading this!

  • this is a truly great song

  • this is an awesome song. hence me being here listening to it. but i havent seen the video for years. its reminded me of 2 things.

    a. my mum saying the singer bares a vague resemblance to simon le bon and b. the guy in the video was in that crappy itv kids programme. lol.

    great song though.

  • They are not so famous compare to other bands, but I love their songs!

  • I totally agree gbutlerfan, they could've given him some scraps of something. A nice box even. Musicians, tut tut. It's only ever about the shiny trousers.

    Great song though.

  • Wow! Love this song! It brings back loads of memories of the days when there was so much good music around! Can anyone suggest a good compilation album that has this song on? :-)

  • its an old cd but the best album. . . .in the world. . .ever, its got an orange cover well kind of!! great song!!!!!! love it.

  • shine 8 two discs full of quality indie anthems such has this and reef, cast oasis, and many more

  • The guy in the video is the same guy from Genesis video "No Son of Mine" I thought he was great in it, but poor thing is always roaming the streets...feel bad for him =)

  • I didn't notice that though I am familiar with the video for Genesis' "No Son of Mine".

  • remined me when i was 14 it was my favorite song

  • What the hells that video about?

    Great song though!!

  • if ur into dance music the greg downey remix is better than the perfecto one

  • such a wonderful album

  • they split up and the last release came some time after, it was called kleptomania, it had 3 discs, with b - sides and other goodies purely for the fans.

  • "The original by Westlife is much better"

    holly ignorance...

  • This is great but the perfecto remix brings it to life.

  • sadly, no more Mansum...

  • hear the Dance remix form Perfecto it is preety good... if ure listen techno but original is original...

  • I love this video, does anyone know the actors name, wasn't he in Hollyoakes years ago.

  • do mansun not exist any more then?

  • I always loved that song... but for a strange reason i always thought the singer was female. The video prouved me wrong.

  • I hear that, I was shocked too.

  • How am i a scummer u idiot,i said i saw them there doesnt mean i live there moron

  • saw these 9 years ago they were in southampton, and they were good

  • I made out w the drummer at a sheffield pub

  • I went to see these back in the day...they were fab!!!

  • luv the vid 2!!

  • this song is ancient man!!! it does rock tho!

  • Wish I could have been in Liverpool st station when making tax dodge

  • hell yeh man. especially if u happened to have a giant butterfly net on ya. would have made a furtune.

  • the cleaner with the large broom seems to have done well for him self though

  • he was "in" on it. he knew it was gonna happen so he got his biggest broom out ready. Earnt his wages in one day.

  • may be so he has the money ,and fair play to him

  • i missed this song...

  • Live awesome is all I can say

  • Quality not shcnitzz

  • I was mates with the drummer Andy when we was kids... aint seen him in years now though. Remember when they were just startin out...All the best mate..Top Tune..!! They remind me of radio head a bit only well before them...

  • Iam 43 and I think this is a shiznit track

  • A marvellous track

  • quality love it!!!!

  • la escuche por primera vez en la pelicula de The guilty, me ha costado trabajo conocer el grupo, magnifico tema

  • beethoven n mozart, ,,,, idiot

  • paul draper has a myspace you can listen to his new songs. mansun made me want to pick a guitar

  • So,unless he gets out in his open space,he turns into the incredible Hulk.Cool.

  • I really love this song its relaxing, also i love the perfecto mix

  • Great song! There are some critics who have compared this band to Tears for Fears! This song could be an example of that.

  • one of the most beautiful lyrics i've ever heard. some might say from noel gallagher is an other beautiful one. and in the album called kleptomania this fucking guitarist make amazing things. he and draper are like fucking mozart and beethoven.

  • good song!

  • gawd i'd forgoten how awesome this song really is!!

  • Sadly missed and sorely under-rated

  • i can't find their CD ANYWHERE in Toronto.....

  • this for me is there best song they ever did they split a while ago 2003 if i remember right

  • fucking amazing song tbh.

  • wow

    truly amazing

  • Yeah he was.. they used to play Mansun on Hollyoaks all the time too... An all time classic song from one of my all time classic bands. Just simply brilliant... still gives me goosebumps!

  • Has to be one of the most underrated songs ever. Pure genius!

  • This was absolutely the best 1997 album!

  • greaaaaat songggg-great mansun-great mercury-

  • Superb song...shit video!!

  • GooD Shit

  • Great song indeed... Followed by the absolute masterpiece Six... but listening to Little Kix, I can imagine why they split.

  • didnt the kiddy in the video used to be in hollyoaks? seemed to remember his name being alex. can someone confirm or deny my outrageous allegations?

  • Correct. He's also in the Genesis video "No son of mine".

  • Martino Lazzeri was the actors name and was in hollyoaks for a couple of years around 1999

  • Woah, old MTV2 logos and text, back in the day when it used to be good :)
