US Citizens are not aware that (using 2007 dollars), minimum wage in the US reached its highest real dollar level in 1968 at $9.25. From that point it has fallen to it's current level of $7.75. We need to introduce INFLATION-PEGGED minimum wage and work to establish WORLD-WIDE MINIMUM WAGE standards, the infringement of which by any company - or that company's contractors - operating in the US would result in dissolution.

Sorry, make that $7.25...two full dollars less per hour than in 1968. There are many reasons for this decline, but the space here does not merit an explanation.
