@HiPointMan , how do you know i wouldnt put one through your gut before you can even pull yours out? How could you be so sure of yourself, your the kind that gets shot because you are too cocky, and you never expect the unexpected. The one bullet you'll fire is the one that goes in the air after you drop.
@HiPointMan , i guarantee your a wannabe. No respectable shooter "gaurantees" he'll only need 1 shot. your only saying that cuz you know hipoint capacity sucks dick.
im definitely getting one just so i can shoot it till it falls apart, rumor is each one kind of has its own personality. example; 2 guns each the same hi-point 9mm sitting next to the other, guy shoots the one on the left 100 times it performs perfectly, shoots the other one 50 times and the gun falls apart in his hands. for that price i think its worth it just for the fun factor.
as much as i hate hipoint pistols(pretty much everything about them) the 9mm isnt really that bad, considering the pricetag of 169 bucks. you really cant beat it.........especially for a first gun for a kid or just something to take to the range when ur on a budget. Hipoint does have a good lifetime warrenty that they do stand by. I would not however consider buying ne of their weapons as a carry weapon, if ur on a budget u can do better 4 a little more $
im going to get one pretty soon....hopefully it will be a good gun to keep on the john boat!!! ill tell you one thing im not bringing the kimber out there!!!
All you need to learn in school, lol. Just personal preference though, I am more accurate with a .45, but then again my guns cost over $400 too.
Hi Points are not a gun that you can take out of the box and become a master shooter with in a few days, it does take time to learn how aim cheaper guns, thats the only reason I do not like them; I'm an impatient mofo.
I will be buying one a month for the next twelve months and stashing them around my house. That way when Obama says I can't buy guns anymore, my family will have guns of their own already.
I say that because "DO IT FAGGOT" is an extremely well known phrase used between two people who are in agreement about something.
It is a versatile phrase yes, but think about it, what are the first two words in "DO IT FAGGOT"? Why would someone tell someone to do something they did not think they should?
Consider context as well; this is an HP video, and you are buying HPs. Why would I not support that?
@charlitunaman2002 I got a good laugh out of this dialogue. I, too, have never heard the phrase. I don't take too kindly to any one refering to me as a faggot, either.
Must be a regional thing becasue where I come from, calling a man a faggot is fightin' words. Oh well, I see he had no bad intentions. Shoot safe and have fun with the Hi-Points.
Certain regions of the internet (message boards, forums, IM chat) create phrases such as "DO IT FAGGOT" and it is used with great celebration. DO IT FAGGOT is an older phrase and I mistakenly assumed everyone knew it. Google for images of it, you will be amused at what you find.
So your take on it is a really cool example of how a series of tubes (internet) is being viewed compared to real life. Thanks for the experience and interesting comments, keep DOING IT FAGGOT :P
@bubba55l , basically your saying a hipoint is better then nothing, duh??? and your staement only counts to broke ass fools who shouldnt be buying a glock.
@bubba55l , that is actually unlogical because I chose a Glock instead of a Sig because a Sig is around the same price, and didnt like it; and I could definetley afford it. In fact, I was looking to buy FN pistol which is around 900$, but i chose Glock instead for its basic durabilty, and its way slimmer then a hipoint for carry. your logic is terrible... but its because your trying to defend your hi-point, pathetic.
@jaredleospirit Sorry, but I don't own a highpoint, though I would consider the 995. For handguns, I personally prefer lock breach actions on anything larger than .380 rather than the big heavy slide of the HP, but I still will never consider a glock until they release a single stack model - the thinnest glocks are still just too blocky,
@bubba55l , why would you want single stack over double? are you retarded? and if you dont own a hipoint why are you defending it so much? and you still didnt explain your crappy logic on your previous comment i answered. you dont know much about guns, gun models, and their prices; clearly.
@jaredleospirit For concealment, a single stack beats a double stack any day - it is the thinkness (especially block-like thickness) that prints through clothing. Also, grip size is not constrained in a single-stack, The only down-side of single stack is less capacity, but frankly, if you haven't taken care of business in the 1st three shots, you aren't going to.
@bubba55l , firefights have random results. You both could miss 5 times and one of you could hit on the 6 7 or 8th shot. Firefights are never, "duuhhhh, if you dont hit in 3 shots your fucked, duhhh", its like, shut the fuck up you dont know shit youve never been in a shootout you couch pussy.
@jaredleospirit I am a firm believer in an armed populace. The HiPoint gives a cost effective option to those with limited income. They are ugly and heavy, but extremely reliable and durable. Tom Deeb clearly achieved his goal.
The Glock is popular with those who base purchases on what local law enforcement agencies buy. Departments end up buying based on the least rather than most skilled members and the Glock is second only to revolvers in terms of manual-of-arms simplicity.
yeah, I think the snow muffled the sound a bit. Plus this was filmed with a digital photo camera with video option. It's had to be converted from .MOV format as well.
I have two High Points. The .40 had a few problems until it ran about 200 rounds. Since then, no problems. The C9 has NEVER had a single malfunction of any kind since it came out of the box and it's had over 1,000 rounds through it.
Last year i was set up by a freind. He wanted me to try this .45 acp pistol he
had. At the range he loaded her up and said see how she groups. As i glanced
at the name on the gun he said no no no,
just try it and tell me what you think. I told him that it was acually better looking than my glock. WELL, this gun grouped a little better than the glock. I
To date he has run over 4,000 rounds through this gun. yea I know, whatever. Hanzzz
Oh you'll likely run into some jams starting between 30 or 50 rounds. This is normal and is part of the break in. I;d recommend going to the HP website and looking for the forums link. Lotsa good info to keep you happy shooting your HP there!
Hey what bullets are known to fire smoothly in a high point. I've heard some JHP 115 grain jam. What grain do you guys typically use? Do you guys use ghost ring sights over its factory sights?
I'll use about anything I don;t find at Wal-MArt type stores, and never use Blazer or any other aluminum casing. I;ve got the ghost ring sights but never tried them since I carry mine (before I moved to Michigan) and worry that I would fuck it up.
115 is what I have in it right now, I should really be using a higher grain though. Aluminum casing is used in place of brass for the shells in shitty ammo, like Blazer.
That's funny, because you just joined the mere 5% of people who are gun snobs against Hi-Point. But don't feel too bad, you are one of the 1st to spell Hi-Point completely wrong. That tells me you have no clue wtf you are talking about, I'm sure it isn;t from experience. So anyway, if you really do own a gun, which I doubt, then congratulations on paying a shitload of money for something that does the exact same thing my gun does.
and spend 700 more dollars for a piece of metal that does the same thing exact with no lifetime warrenty,,,, i dont think so... are you a gun dealer??? I call hi points Gun dealers nightmare, affordable, reliable, great quality and backed by a fucking warranty what more do you fucking need to realize gun dealers are fucking you over a small chair with no gel, be like me saying dont drive toyota drive a Mercedes benz, your better off walking, no thanks toyota is easier to maintain, low maintaince
Most all pistols are covered by a warranty. Your argument sucks balls. Gun dealers probably love hi points because it is easy to get a new gun buyer to drop a small $150 on a pistol. I am not trying to bash, but lets be completely realistic here. Hi Point are the best bang for the buck, but they are far from high quality. A $700 is not the same thing as a hi-point. Generally speaking, they are smaller, look better, better quality materials, better trigger, more reliable, better sights, etc
Deleted your other comment as a demonstration of my nazi'ism, and to narrow things down to one issue which I beleive negates everything elso you could say in the future, in my own opinion at least.
Your very 1st point, about gun dealers loving HPs because some poor broke bastard can actually afford one....
Common profitability applies here, a gun dealer will make very little off a gun that he sells for barely more than what he paid.
sry 4 deleting ur stuff, just avoiding a shitstorm.
That's fine. It is your vid! I don't mind a little discussion! Usually gun dealers will sell for a certain $ over dealer cost. Many I see are between $50-100. If dealer can buy them for say $100 (which I think is doable) they could easily turn around and sell them like hotcakes for $175-200.
You are likely more knowledgeable in the area of what dealers are really going to make than I would be, and if you are correct then I can see the benefit of dealers pushing the HPs.
From what I;ve ssen though, wholesale HPs usually go for 120 bucks and sell for 135 to 180. If I had a used glock I;d expect to get 500 for it and then the dealer sell it for about 700 (indiana prices).
So he;s gonna make more off a glock, but alot more ppl can afford an HP.
Dude, I was asking a gun smith why he sold Hi Points. And he told me that at first he didn't what to. So, he put it in dirt and it shot fine. He put it in water, shot it upside down, side ways, and just kept fucking with it. But the dam thing never fucked up on him. Don't nock it tell you try it. Those things are $169 at my gun shop.
Fuck a gay ass LeakyStarGayAssFish, you leaky dick faggot, you drink so much cum you had to get your stomache pumped so go back and cry to your boyfriend Elton John and shut the fuck up.
hahaha lol he and I had a nice little war in our channel comment boxes. Till he started deleting my comments on his and then blocked me. The man is one of the most ignorant people I have seen here. I honestly think he is a junior high school student with the shitty insults he uses.
They are bad guns. Take one apart and just look at how cheaply it's made. There's a reason why it has a lifetime warranty, no one would buy one if it didn't. Just like Kia's 100k mile warranty.
I had no idea about the warranty when I bought mine. I also had the same problems in the beginning that make people hate these guns. It would shoot through about 5 clips no problem, and them jam 3 clips in a row on the second shot of every one.
Then I decided to use my brain and research the damn thing and saw that it has a break in period and that I was also shooting it all wrong. I advise everyone to research every gun they buy.
Havent had a jam in well over a year and a half now.
Actually no I am using magazines, which in the geographical area I live in are called clips. Just like soda is soda here, but in the south it is coke, and in the central midwest it is pop.
So even though coke is a soda and not a pop, and even though clips are different than magazines they are also called clips in some circles. Whichever circle you are born in or decide to model yourself after is your own choice, unless you are in a court of law where specifics count. internet is important tho
Eh, many would disagree, but I;ve already explained my point at a kindergarten level for you.
But to better help you understand it: I will now call you a FAGGOT. But the correct term would be homosexual man who prefers cock over vagoo and gets a stiffy from a penis shoved in his asshole repeatedly.
But even though I called you a FAGGOT rather than a RAGING HOMOSEXUAL, I am sure the point is still made very clear, just as using the word clip rather than magazine is.
No, you're mistaken. Clips load magazines, by definition. Magazines feed rounds into the chamber. They're COMPLETELY different, whereas 'soda' and 'pop' mean the same thing.
I have a HI-Point works great no problems! People think since guns are cheap they suck! I also have an AK47 Cheap but if i was on an island and could only have one gun i would pick my AK47 over my AR15 anyday!!
i just called a gun shop and they said that the reason they dont sell it cuz its the "bottom of the life in semi auto" what i got from this conversation was it was a crappy gun but after reading your comment i might change my mind
Yeah...Under $200, I'm thinking of buying one just because I have 2 boxes of 9mm ammo that I always wanted to shoot. Which one should I buy the HP9mm or HP9mm comp?
This is the C9 that I have here. Just please make sure you read their forums online and get the idea of the little quirks these things have or you'll hate the gun
The place i shoot at has a metal pole barn really close behind me, I assume that has alot to do with the muffled sound here. Also the ground is covered with snow and surely absorbs alot of the sound. To further musr about the sound, the camera being used was a digital picture cam that only holds a few minutes of video with an empty memory, not really made for the purpose of capturing video but still useful.
Hello, I guess it's been a year or longer. So, how is your hi point 9mm holding up? How many rounds do you have thru it now? Just checkin'. I could have bought one in the consignment case for $99. I chose not to because too much trouble to disassemble. Anyway, just thought I'd check. Sincerely, JAMES.
I've never found a need to tear it down. In fact, the only times I;ve ever had trouble with it were right after I cleaned it. I've got somwhere around 1500 rounds through it now, wish it were more too. Heven;t had a jam since about a month after I got it.
I recommend that anyone who tries a Hi-Point go read their forums and get acquainted with the unique points of the gun.
A "cleaning" comment. Try using a non-chlorinated spray brake cleaner on your Hi-Point or other pain-in-the-rear-to-disassemble firearms. A good solvent. Then let it dry, spray with wd-40 if any moisture concerns, followed by something like Remmington's RemOil (WalMart), in those hard to reach places. No need to completely strip a weapon unless it's been buried in mud for a year, in my opinion. Some pistols are picky, Hi-Points are forgiving. Try one! ;-)
Goes to show you.. you can spend $500 - 900 for a pistol, or $140. AND get a reliable, safe handgun. I like both. But if you're on a budget, or just don't want to spend more than necessary, get a Hi-Point! They work. And the warranty is iron clad if you experience any problems. ( I hate gun snobs ) ;-)
A gun snob? So to not be a gun snob you have to own a cheaply made firearm that is in most cases overly heavy an unreliable with low capacity? Ok...I guess you can call be a gun snob. How dare I own a quality handgun! Have fun with your hi-point...
Hmmm. I'm not sure how you read that into my comment. ("So to not be a gun snob you have to own a cheaply made firearm that is in most cases overly heavy an unreliable with low capacity?") Show me where in my comment that I stated you have to own any particular firearm. I think most people understand that a gun snob is a person that thinks that a particular brand, model, or price range is the only way to go. Kind of like those "Fords- Chevys-Dodge Rule!" Types. ? Hi-Points are a great value.
Right, you never said someone who owns a Glock would be a gun snob. I;ve seen the comments people leave on Hi-Point vids alot, dissing them just because of the cost and because they have talked to people who don;t know how to shoot them. Yeah we've gone over the fact that they can jam alot, but we've also pointed out that the people who have problems with them didn;t take time to research how to use one, how it fires, etc...
Thanks, Trend'. I hope I got my point across. Even the U.S. Military issues contracts to the lowest bidder that proves their weapon can meet the mil-spec standards. Example..I own a Mossberg 500 "persuader" 12 ga. shotgun. It is mil-spec, and cost me $140 new. Inexpensive, reliable, and good enough for the military. Better than a $2,000 Beretta Trap shotgun? That's not the point. It WORKS!! lol Hi-points WORK and are inexpensive because of their design, materials, and the company policy.
no thanks i got a $650 beretta, not to impress people,i dont even tell be people i have it,but to reliable and dependable so when it does come into use it works flawless and i have no doubt it will,so go buy a $150 gun and worry if it will shoot each time.
To each his own. I once shot a Beretta 92F the current U.S. Army standard pistol. It worked. Not too impressed with caliber 9mm because of the wimpy reputation of the round. I'd love to take my $350 Ruger P-97 in .45 ACP on my next deployment but the Army won't let me.
Inexpensive but sturdy/reliable guns such as High points will have their uses. Caches of Highpoints buried underground in PVC pipe could be a hedge against New Orleans style gun confiscation in the wake of natural or man made disasters.
I have also thought about this gun burying, especially as the US becomes mroe andmore pro-ocntrol etc. One day I will have to register all of my werapons, but before then I think Ill hide a R700 with an AWC and 50 rounds in some waterproof bag for when that worst comes to the worst: .308 style :)
Think of it this way too, would you rather give up a $130.00 Highpoint pistol or your $700.00 Kimber 1911A1 type pistol? Me I'd give those jack booted apes a daisy BB gun and a broken pen knife and bid them good day. At night, the real weopons come out of the basement, down from the attic, or out of the ground.
i dont care what everyone says about hi points. I am very much likely to buy then 9mm carbine becuase from what ive seen and heard hi points are very durable and accurate.
my hi point 9 is great i have had it for over 3 years it has seen well over 3000 rounds the gun is simply great only replaced 1 mag....SKOOBIE11 suck balls for a crack ....lmao
I had nothing but problems with mine after I and 2 friends were convinced to buy the c9 it has been jamming up or failure to fire after about 50 rounds, now it fires about once out of a 10 round clip, I accepted my losses and gave it away and bought an xd best move I ever made.
give me a big enough rock then yes, but that does not change the fact that high-points are still a piece of shit no matter what u say you are retarted for buying one.
Do you even know what the full name of a gun means?
High point 9mm luger. That means that the gun is made by a)high point, and that it fires b)9mm rounds that are of the type known as c)luger.
It doesent mean that its the same gun your faggot nazi father used to fuck you in the ass with after he incinerated jews. The ammo was invented by the same man by the last name of Luger.
What the hell are you talking about?? The "luger" is describing the round he is using, not the gun. THe gun is a Hi Point There is a gun generally called a luger, and this is not it.
I have a HP 9mm.The only drawback in my opinion is the clip release button. Its a little on the sensitive side and if you are holding your finger near it,the guns recoil may have you hitting the button causing the clip too drop out in the middle of emptying it.Other than that,I recommend it for the novice or pro.Its pretty kewl for the cash.
If you want to talk about spelling, what is "stewpid?" What happen to the period at the end of your sentence? That's awesome you blast me about spelling, but you can't spell either. I made a error and so did you.
nice gun and shootin. im also new to shootin. As a first gun i have been seriously considering a hi-point or a something thats within the 250 dollar range but im still undecided
Hi-Point has done me good. You cant be gentle with them though. Ya gotta tap the mag, slap it in hard, cock it hard, and lock your wrists while shooting since it is a blastback action gun. do those things and you;ll like it.
people always say that high points are cheap. i persoanlly have never owned one (since i live in the UK), but it is perfectly capable of killing a bad guy, should the situation require it. So for 100 dollars it is well worth the money in my opinion
10 being best.how do you like it for reliability?Ive been thinking about getting a HP for years.carbine and or pistol.also could on put a longer barrel on the compact HP 9mm?
Now that I;ve learned to use it right, I give it a 10. It;s a backblast action gun, so you have to lock your wrist when you shoot it so the slide will get full action and feed properly. Notice how my wrist doesent move in the vid. I did have some trouble at 1st cuz this was my 1st pistol and I was totaly new to guns.
lol please tell me every information about c9...i am getting it becuase i want to know if its gona be worth it...i know my glock27 and 36 are extremely reliable...but 40 and 45 ran more expensive than 9mm now a day...im really serious of trying a c9
I got no complaints about it. Read through my comments on both my high-point vids and you;ll find some good tips. It's a cheap gun because you gotta know a few things about it to use it right. It's not a simple thing like more expensive guns are.
HP's are really coming up in the world lately and I;m very glad to see this since. I just hope that anyone who buys one checks out the HP website forums for tips on better shooting. You have to lock your wrist when shooting, slam the clip in, and cock it roughly. It;s a tough gun, just be tough with it ya know?
Own a hi point c9 and XD45. Not gonna lie that the XD is my hands down favorite in terms of accuracy, reliability, and overall pleasure to shoot (big surprise). Nevertheless, I really like the hi point for the range. It is inexpensive, takes 9mm, and I would trust it in a fix. If anyone has a hundred bucks lying around, I would suggest they pick on up!
Hi. There was this old man at the gunstore who traded his in and I could have bought it for $100. However, I Looked it up and discovered that to take it down for cleaning you have to punch out a couple of pins. Kind of inconvenient. I will stick with my Glock 19 which I can take down and clean after every range session. I guess the convenience is worth 4 times the cost of the Hi Point. Thanks for the video. JAMES.
I had a comp 9 which I liked in terms of cost, reliability and accuracy. Like you I didn't like the pin that needed to be punched out to field strip the pistol for cleaning. I prefer Glock but if I was on a budget, Hi Point is a good choice.
You get what you pay for. Had a friend who had a Hi-Point, it was alright for such a price. About a 1,000 rounds into it, the groupings suck and the gun couldn't feed properly.
I've put well over 1k rounds through mine. And if he has problems and hasn;t sent it in then he is an idiot. All Hi-Points have a 100% lifetime warranty.
The problem was, he bought it used for $80, no warranty. Yeah he's an idiot.
I paid $700 for my Sig Sauer, no jams at all. The only problem I had was when I used a shitty batch of ammunition and 1 in 10 rounds had a primer that didn't ignite.
The warranty is transferrable I would think. He should get in contact with Hi-point. They will likely fix it for him since they stand behind their product. I bought mine and signed no warranty or anything. From what I know, if you have a Hi-Point and it fucks up, it;s fixed for free.
I've heard that as well, and also much good about them as well. Many people like the lifetime guaruntee I know. But many say that they jam alot and would not trust them for self defense. Personally mine used to jam about every 50 rounds, and even more often if someone else shot it, wierd. But after I cleaned it a few times I haven't had a jam in over 500 rounds. I like the weight as well, and the price! Fun gun for very cheap
Ya many people that I have linked to this vid have wondered about the same thing. Wierd eh? I can only guess that it's the camera I used, cuz when I talk at the end I know I yelled and it's quiet too.

For handguns, I personally prefer lock breach actions on anything larger than .380 rather than the big heavy slide of the HP, but I still will never consider a glock until they release a single stack model - the thinnest glocks are still just too blocky,
bubba55l 6 months ago
@bubba55l , why would you want single stack over double? are you retarded? and if you dont own a hipoint why are you defending it so much? and you still didnt explain your crappy logic on your previous comment i answered. you dont know much about guns, gun models, and their prices; clearly.
jaredleospirit 6 months ago
@jaredleospirit For concealment, a single stack beats a double stack any day - it is the thinkness (especially block-like thickness) that prints through clothing. Also, grip size is not constrained in a single-stack, The only down-side of single stack is less capacity, but frankly, if you haven't taken care of business in the 1st three shots, you aren't going to.
bubba55l 6 months ago
@bubba55l , firefights have random results. You both could miss 5 times and one of you could hit on the 6 7 or 8th shot. Firefights are never, "duuhhhh, if you dont hit in 3 shots your fucked, duhhh", its like, shut the fuck up you dont know shit youve never been in a shootout you couch pussy.
jaredleospirit 6 months ago
@jaredleospirit I am a firm believer in an armed populace. The HiPoint gives a cost effective option to those with limited income. They are ugly and heavy, but extremely reliable and durable. Tom Deeb clearly achieved his goal.
The Glock is popular with those who base purchases on what local law enforcement agencies buy. Departments end up buying based on the least rather than most skilled members and the Glock is second only to revolvers in terms of manual-of-arms simplicity.
bubba55l 6 months ago
@bubba55l , you believe in an armed populace, good for you. I beleive in an armed 'me'.

yeah, I think the snow muffled the sound a bit. Plus this was filmed with a digital photo camera with video option. It's had to be converted from .MOV format as well.
Trendkillertrendy 2 years ago
I have two High Points. The .40 had a few problems until it ran about 200 rounds. Since then, no problems. The C9 has NEVER had a single malfunction of any kind since it came out of the box and it's had over 1,000 rounds through it.
torchss 2 years ago
Last year i was set up by a freind. He wanted me to try this .45 acp pistol he
had. At the range he loaded her up and said see how she groups. As i glanced
at the name on the gun he said no no no,
just try it and tell me what you think. I told him that it was acually better looking than my glock. WELL, this gun grouped a little better than the glock. I
To date he has run over 4,000 rounds through this gun. yea I know, whatever. Hanzzz
Hanzzz1111 2 years ago
Yeah, people always ask me "is that a glock?"
Kinda funny cuz it doesn't look like a glock except that its not very streamlined, like a glock.

my boy copped a high point 9mili last nite and we bucked it no jams nothin...bout 24 shots..dey rang out tho loud as hell...im thinkin bout gettn 1
mpboss 2 years ago
Oh you'll likely run into some jams starting between 30 or 50 rounds. This is normal and is part of the break in. I;d recommend going to the HP website and looking for the forums link. Lotsa good info to keep you happy shooting your HP there!
Trendkillertrendy 2 years ago
Hey what bullets are known to fire smoothly in a high point. I've heard some JHP 115 grain jam. What grain do you guys typically use? Do you guys use ghost ring sights over its factory sights?
stopbeingcowards 2 years ago
I'll use about anything I don;t find at Wal-MArt type stores, and never use Blazer or any other aluminum casing. I;ve got the ghost ring sights but never tried them since I carry mine (before I moved to Michigan) and worry that I would fuck it up.
Trendkillertrendy 2 years ago
What grain are you shooting? Have you ever shot JHP 115 grain. How do you know what type of ammo has aluminum casing and what is blazer ammo
stopbeingcowards 2 years ago
115 is what I have in it right now, I should really be using a higher grain though. Aluminum casing is used in place of brass for the shells in shitty ammo, like Blazer.

your better off trying to chunk a high point at your target. get a glock, sig, keltec. high points are crap.
phendricks69 2 years ago
That's funny, because you just joined the mere 5% of people who are gun snobs against Hi-Point. But don't feel too bad, you are one of the 1st to spell Hi-Point completely wrong. That tells me you have no clue wtf you are talking about, I'm sure it isn;t from experience. So anyway, if you really do own a gun, which I doubt, then congratulations on paying a shitload of money for something that does the exact same thing my gun does.
Trendkillertrendy 2 years ago
and spend 700 more dollars for a piece of metal that does the same thing exact with no lifetime warrenty,,,, i dont think so... are you a gun dealer??? I call hi points Gun dealers nightmare, affordable, reliable, great quality and backed by a fucking warranty what more do you fucking need to realize gun dealers are fucking you over a small chair with no gel, be like me saying dont drive toyota drive a Mercedes benz, your better off walking, no thanks toyota is easier to maintain, low maintaince
stopbeingcowards 2 years ago
That's interesting about the HP haters being gun dealers. I'll bet you're on to something there Sir
Trendkillertrendy 2 years ago
Most all pistols are covered by a warranty. Your argument sucks balls. Gun dealers probably love hi points because it is easy to get a new gun buyer to drop a small $150 on a pistol. I am not trying to bash, but lets be completely realistic here. Hi Point are the best bang for the buck, but they are far from high quality. A $700 is not the same thing as a hi-point. Generally speaking, they are smaller, look better, better quality materials, better trigger, more reliable, better sights, etc
gunut4FMJ 2 years ago
Deleted your other comment as a demonstration of my nazi'ism, and to narrow things down to one issue which I beleive negates everything elso you could say in the future, in my own opinion at least.
Your very 1st point, about gun dealers loving HPs because some poor broke bastard can actually afford one....
Common profitability applies here, a gun dealer will make very little off a gun that he sells for barely more than what he paid.
sry 4 deleting ur stuff, just avoiding a shitstorm.
Trendkillertrendy 2 years ago
That's fine. It is your vid! I don't mind a little discussion! Usually gun dealers will sell for a certain $ over dealer cost. Many I see are between $50-100. If dealer can buy them for say $100 (which I think is doable) they could easily turn around and sell them like hotcakes for $175-200.
gunut4FMJ 2 years ago
You are likely more knowledgeable in the area of what dealers are really going to make than I would be, and if you are correct then I can see the benefit of dealers pushing the HPs.
From what I;ve ssen though, wholesale HPs usually go for 120 bucks and sell for 135 to 180. If I had a used glock I;d expect to get 500 for it and then the dealer sell it for about 700 (indiana prices).
So he;s gonna make more off a glock, but alot more ppl can afford an HP.
Glad I;m not a retailer lol
Trendkillertrendy 2 years ago
Dude, I was asking a gun smith why he sold Hi Points. And he told me that at first he didn't what to. So, he put it in dirt and it shot fine. He put it in water, shot it upside down, side ways, and just kept fucking with it. But the dam thing never fucked up on him. Don't nock it tell you try it. Those things are $169 at my gun shop.

Trendkillertrendy 3 years ago
They are bad guns. Take one apart and just look at how cheaply it's made. There's a reason why it has a lifetime warranty, no one would buy one if it didn't. Just like Kia's 100k mile warranty.
chechnya 3 years ago
I had no idea about the warranty when I bought mine. I also had the same problems in the beginning that make people hate these guns. It would shoot through about 5 clips no problem, and them jam 3 clips in a row on the second shot of every one.
Then I decided to use my brain and research the damn thing and saw that it has a break in period and that I was also shooting it all wrong. I advise everyone to research every gun they buy.
Havent had a jam in well over a year and a half now.
Trendkillertrendy 3 years ago
It probably jams because you are using clips.
They don't use clips. They use magazines.
And yes, there is a difference.
leakystarfish 3 years ago
Actually no I am using magazines, which in the geographical area I live in are called clips. Just like soda is soda here, but in the south it is coke, and in the central midwest it is pop.
So even though coke is a soda and not a pop, and even though clips are different than magazines they are also called clips in some circles. Whichever circle you are born in or decide to model yourself after is your own choice, unless you are in a court of law where specifics count. internet is important tho
Trendkillertrendy 3 years ago
It is not a geographic difference in nomenclature.
It is wrong. Lots of people call them clips, and they are all wrong.
leakystarfish 3 years ago
Eh, many would disagree, but I;ve already explained my point at a kindergarten level for you.
But to better help you understand it: I will now call you a FAGGOT. But the correct term would be homosexual man who prefers cock over vagoo and gets a stiffy from a penis shoved in his asshole repeatedly.
But even though I called you a FAGGOT rather than a RAGING HOMOSEXUAL, I am sure the point is still made very clear, just as using the word clip rather than magazine is.
Now go cry, emo kid =(
Trendkillertrendy 3 years ago
that was probably the best comeback EVER
pedromiles101 3 years ago 3

ConstantineC9 3 years ago 3
No, you're mistaken. Clips load magazines, by definition. Magazines feed rounds into the chamber. They're COMPLETELY different, whereas 'soda' and 'pop' mean the same thing.

Trendkillertrendy 3 years ago
mmmk, understanding much, have a cheap digi cam, and its not so great at recording things, nice vid anyway.... :)

Hello, I guess it's been a year or longer. So, how is your hi point 9mm holding up? How many rounds do you have thru it now? Just checkin'. I could have bought one in the consignment case for $99. I chose not to because too much trouble to disassemble. Anyway, just thought I'd check. Sincerely, JAMES.
buzzclark 3 years ago
I've never found a need to tear it down. In fact, the only times I;ve ever had trouble with it were right after I cleaned it. I've got somwhere around 1500 rounds through it now, wish it were more too. Heven;t had a jam since about a month after I got it.
I recommend that anyone who tries a Hi-Point go read their forums and get acquainted with the unique points of the gun.
Trendkillertrendy 3 years ago

( I hate gun snobs ) ;-)
tedium3 3 years ago
A gun snob? So to not be a gun snob you have to own a cheaply made firearm that is in most cases overly heavy an unreliable with low capacity? Ok...I guess you can call be a gun snob. How dare I own a quality handgun! Have fun with your hi-point...
villarreal55 3 years ago
? Hi-Points are a great value.
tedium3 3 years ago
Right, you never said someone who owns a Glock would be a gun snob. I;ve seen the comments people leave on Hi-Point vids alot, dissing them just because of the cost and because they have talked to people who don;t know how to shoot them. Yeah we've gone over the fact that they can jam alot, but we've also pointed out that the people who have problems with them didn;t take time to research how to use one, how it fires, etc...
Trendkillertrendy 3 years ago
Thanks, Trend'. I hope I got my point across. Even the U.S. Military issues contracts to the lowest bidder that proves their weapon can meet the mil-spec standards. Example..I own a Mossberg 500 "persuader" 12 ga. shotgun. It is mil-spec, and cost me $140 new. Inexpensive, reliable, and good enough for the military. Better than a $2,000 Beretta Trap shotgun? That's not the point. It WORKS!! lol Hi-points WORK and are inexpensive because of their design, materials, and the company policy.
tedium3 3 years ago
Great point about further negating the "gun snob" issue.
Trendkillertrendy 3 years ago
Get a $700.00 Kimber 1911 to impress gun snobs such as yourself? Surely you jest Valerie.
AR15fan 3 years ago
no thanks i got a $650 beretta, not to impress people,i dont even tell be people i have it,but to reliable and dependable so when it does come into use it works flawless and i have no doubt it will,so go buy a $150 gun and worry if it will shoot each time.
villarreal55 3 years ago
To each his own. I once shot a Beretta 92F the current U.S. Army standard pistol. It worked. Not too impressed with caliber 9mm because of the wimpy reputation of the round. I'd love to take my $350 Ruger P-97 in .45 ACP on my next deployment but the Army won't let me.
AR15fan 3 years ago
Inexpensive but sturdy/reliable guns such as High points will have their uses. Caches of Highpoints buried underground in PVC pipe could be a hedge against New Orleans style gun confiscation in the wake of natural or man made disasters.
AR15fan 3 years ago
I have also thought about this gun burying, especially as the US becomes mroe andmore pro-ocntrol etc. One day I will have to register all of my werapons, but before then I think Ill hide a R700 with an AWC and 50 rounds in some waterproof bag for when that worst comes to the worst: .308 style :)
jebustheone 3 years ago
Think of it this way too, would you rather give up a $130.00 Highpoint pistol or your $700.00 Kimber 1911A1 type pistol? Me I'd give those jack booted apes a daisy BB gun and a broken pen knife and bid them good day. At night, the real weopons come out of the basement, down from the attic, or out of the ground.

I have a HP 9mm.The only drawback in my opinion is the clip release button. Its a little on the sensitive side and if you are holding your finger near it,the guns recoil may have you hitting the button causing the clip too drop out in the middle of emptying it.Other than that,I recommend it for the novice or pro.Its pretty kewl for the cash.

nice gun and shootin. im also new to shootin. As a first gun i have been seriously considering a hi-point or a something thats within the 250 dollar range but im still undecided
brightnight609 4 years ago
Hi-Point has done me good. You cant be gentle with them though. Ya gotta tap the mag, slap it in hard, cock it hard, and lock your wrists while shooting since it is a blastback action gun. do those things and you;ll like it.
Trendkillertrendy 4 years ago
people always say that high points are cheap. i persoanlly have never owned one (since i live in the UK), but it is perfectly capable of killing a bad guy, should the situation require it. So for 100 dollars it is well worth the money in my opinion

10 being best.how do you like it for reliability?Ive been thinking about getting a HP for years.carbine and or pistol.also could on put a longer barrel on the compact HP 9mm?
tomterahedrob 4 years ago
Now that I;ve learned to use it right, I give it a 10. It;s a backblast action gun, so you have to lock your wrist when you shoot it so the slide will get full action and feed properly. Notice how my wrist doesent move in the vid. I did have some trouble at 1st cuz this was my 1st pistol and I was totaly new to guns.
Trendkillertrendy 4 years ago
backblast action?do you mean blowback operation?that is ,it doesnt lock when firing like say a 1911 .45 ormost 9mm?

xycoordinatex 4 years ago
I got no complaints about it. Read through my comments on both my high-point vids and you;ll find some good tips. It's a cheap gun because you gotta know a few things about it to use it right. It's not a simple thing like more expensive guns are.
Trendkillertrendy 4 years ago
HP's are really coming up in the world lately and I;m very glad to see this since. I just hope that anyone who buys one checks out the HP website forums for tips on better shooting. You have to lock your wrist when shooting, slam the clip in, and cock it roughly. It;s a tough gun, just be tough with it ya know?
Trendkillertrendy 4 years ago
Own a hi point c9 and XD45. Not gonna lie that the XD is my hands down favorite in terms of accuracy, reliability, and overall pleasure to shoot (big surprise). Nevertheless, I really like the hi point for the range. It is inexpensive, takes 9mm, and I would trust it in a fix. If anyone has a hundred bucks lying around, I would suggest they pick on up!
fobjoe 4 years ago
JAMES.
buzzclark 4 years ago
Glad you liked. Yeah, that is a BIG downside for the HP's, teardown is NOT recommended.
Trendkillertrendy 4 years ago
I had a comp 9 which I liked in terms of cost, reliability and accuracy. Like you I didn't like the pin that needed to be punched out to field strip the pistol for cleaning. I prefer Glock but if I was on a budget, Hi Point is a good choice.
skybari 4 years ago
You get what you pay for. Had a friend who had a Hi-Point, it was alright for such a price. About a 1,000 rounds into it, the groupings suck and the gun couldn't feed properly.
Liist 4 years ago
I've put well over 1k rounds through mine. And if he has problems and hasn;t sent it in then he is an idiot. All Hi-Points have a 100% lifetime warranty.
Trendkillertrendy 4 years ago
The problem was, he bought it used for $80, no warranty. Yeah he's an idiot.
I paid $700 for my Sig Sauer, no jams at all. The only problem I had was when I used a shitty batch of ammunition and 1 in 10 rounds had a primer that didn't ignite.
Liist 4 years ago
The warranty is transferrable I would think. He should get in contact with Hi-point. They will likely fix it for him since they stand behind their product. I bought mine and signed no warranty or anything. From what I know, if you have a Hi-Point and it fucks up, it;s fixed for free.
Trendkillertrendy 4 years ago
Uh no, more like 180 or so. But yeah, it;s a poor man;s gun bit it will still kill. If only I had a xd though :(

High point pistols are pieces of shit to me. What do you think about them?
Uzi554 4 years ago
I've heard that as well, and also much good about them as well. Many people like the lifetime guaruntee I know. But many say that they jam alot and would not trust them for self defense. Personally mine used to jam about every 50 rounds, and even more often if someone else shot it, wierd. But after I cleaned it a few times I haven't had a jam in over 500 rounds. I like the weight as well, and the price! Fun gun for very cheap
Trendkillertrendy 4 years ago
