@TehBANN3D I know. I thought it was a really bad call. Like Marcel said, he couldn't physically make his team work for him. If he did, he would have been kicked off the show as fast as Cliff was. All Stars lost a viewer but Marcel's show gained one. =]

You know, I don't doubt Marcel's skill. Sure second place is not "Top Chef" but you still have to kick a lot of ass to get the sliver medal. And it was literally just him and Ian at that stage. But at the same time, he's a douche, pure and simple. NO ONE on that show has ever successfully pissed of so many other contestants in one sitting quite like he has. Much like in the other arts, sometimes incredible skill comes with a high level of arrogance.

Marcel is an ass and he deserved to be put in his place. You got to be a real asshole to piss off Harold, who is usually pretty calm and avoids drama.

Even when Marcel apologized it was hard to tell if he was being sincere or sarcastic. He may or may not be a good guy, but he just comes across as a douche. I just want to punch him in the face whenever I see him.

true...everyone else on that season was trash...i'm surprised how marcel didn't win...he was the best chef that season...i think the judges gave the other guy a sympathy vote.

@grrrml omfg AGREED. I mean yeah Marcel sometimes acted like a snot but he ironically was the only likable contestant on that show. i hated everyone else especially Ilan and Sam

From what I remember about this season Sam stirred up a lot of shit behind the scenes but never admitted to anything on camera. Sam may have been a lot of viewers' favorite, but I thought he was a bit of a sneak.

He'll always be more interesting then the other season 2 chefs. Was always amazed by the illusion in season 2 that every other chef wasn't in it for the money. LOL what a joke.

I won't deny he was an asshole. In return though every other contestant on the show tried to give him as much grief as possible. It never got in the way of his cooking skill. Wasn't sure I respected him till he picked the 2 people who disliked him to help him with the final challenge. Ilan picked his biggest fans.

Actually, out of the two people Marcel chose, only one of them didn't like him and that was Sam. It wasn't really an act of maturity so much as a smart move on Marcel's part. Sam was one of the last to be eliminated, so he was obviously one of the best chefs there. The other guy Marcel picked (whose name escapes me) had won all of the challenges presented to them in one whole episode--a feat never accomplished before by anyone. He also never fought with anyone as far as I remember.

lol. marcel intent was good , its just that he needed to put it in a better way. thats why in season 2 so many chef hates him. he just needed to be better at critisizing others without pissing them off. marcel is bad with words, just the sad truth.
