  • blu-ray players should have ethernet cable ports thats how i update mine

  • thank you same problem, boyfriend was frustrated!

  • if you play the movie from the very start, before the opening titles will appear a message like this: "the aspect ratio will change to preserve the original IMAX experience". It's not a flaw, not a problem, the movie was shot like that. I really prefer like this.

  • i got a sony blu-ray works perfect bought tron on release date

  • you aint got that kind of problems with ps3

  • Thanks I had the exact same problem. You Rock!

  • Thanks for the post. I had the exact same problem and followed the steps on Samsung's site to get the firmware update via thumb drive and it fixed it.

  • Had the same problem here in the UK on my Samsung HT-BD1252 . Wouldn't update by connecting over the internet. Updated the firmware using a USB flash drive, the discs work fine now. Thanks for the video, nice to see someone putting something useful on Youtube!

  • I just updated my blu ray player by using a flash drive and now it works fine.

  • Did you get the disc from samsung and if so Did it work? I have the same problem with the incredible.

  • @nolj67 I just got it yesterday and the blu rays work, the disney logo pops up for a few seconds and thats about it.

  • @islandboystv it's like that with the dark knight too and it's just like what indyclonejr said.

  • Thats not the only problem.

I was was able get it to play on my Panasonic Blu-ray player.

The problem I had was that the aspect ratio switches from scene to scene.

The movie switches from 16x9 to 2:35:1

Don't expect this to be the best Blu-ray ever. The switching of aspect ratio's through everyone in our room off. Everyone made comments on that.

    Boo!

  • @islandboystv Yeah its suppose to do that because they filmed some scenes on an Imax camera and they filmed some scenes with a normal camers.

  • @indyclonejr

These were the cameras used for this production. None of which are in Imax.

    Camera

Phantom HD Camera, Zeiss Master Prime Lenses

Sony CineAlta F35, Zeiss Master Prime Lenses

This was for sure a technical flaw.

    I want my money back.

  • Hey If you have a flash drive you can down load the firm ware update on it and put it into the blu ray player. Just put it into your usb slot in your blu ray player. I just did it and its showing previews.

  • Thanks guys. My 10 year old son and I just had the same problem putting Tron in. You all save me a ton of time.
