Hitsugaya doesn't have a time limit on his Bankai, the lotus flowers behind him show how much ice he has left to use, if he's near a river or leaves on the flowers will regenerate till all the water has gone from the river/ his spritual power has gone, or severly hurt as to impare fighting so much he simply cant continue, i.e. when Aizen stabbed him after he used bankai to attack him
I would seriously want to see a battle between Ichigo and Hitsugaya because Hitsugaya's zanpactou is an ice/water type and ichigo's bankai makes him very fast. Hitsugaaya would have the advantage because his ice would slow Ichigo (not easy to run very fast on ice even if you are a shinigami) ... but I still think Ichigo would win. Ichigo would win even with plot armor/plotkai. Hitsugaya is the weakest captain (although he has great potential - just young). Ichigo fought on par with Byakuya, one of the stronger captains. Ichigo defeats Hitsu easily, won't even have to use his vaizard mode.
Personally, I don't think the captains are put in divisions purely by strength. I mean, look at Kenpachi! Well, normally, I would hate to see my two favs fighting but the battle would be interesting. Too bad the fights between the two were interrupted in the movie Oo

If it was a realistic style battle, then it could go both ways, because we know ichigo is in touch with his hollow powers, but, we still don't really know hitsugaya's full power, we've only seen him battle weak arrancar and so on.
But, I'd still go with ichig, mainly because of plot armor+hollowization.
i'd love to watch the hollow side fully come out and face kenpachi or ulquiorra mainly well if he is ichigo's power and learns as inchigo does then it would be safe to say he would have learned ways to beat cero and well lets face it he is fing nuts

don't be an idiot aizen beats ichigo bankai with a finger and while he was fighting grimmjow he had some problems with the hollow form thats why it all shattered and grimmjow is kinda scared of aizen's power in around episode 100 sometihing but ichigo is way stronger then hitsugaya and he has a long way to go to catch up with aizen

yeah but Ichigo has just been changed to Shinigami, Ulquiorra has been a hollow all his life, he knows his abilitys inside out... Ichigo doesn't, he might have another lvl of Bankai that only he might have because of his hollow, like ichigo might eventually learn to use Cero Blast like Grimmjaw or Ulquiorra.

Kenpachi was still in his first form and Ichigo took serious damage in his second, with how strong Ichigo is now, he could wipe the floor with Hitsugaya, altho i think if Kenpachi ever learnt his Zampaktou name...he's be even stronger than Ichigo is second release, probably have a massive Shikai like a butchers knife but like Ichigos insanely sized...and his Bankai...he'd be in a class of his own, with only Ichigo and possible Aizen as closest ability, he's have to fight god to get any better...

ichigo will win if he uses the bankai or the vizard mask but if ichigo doesnot have a shikai, bankai, or the mask, hitsugaya would win fuckin easily and yo Texarmageddon hitsugaya stores energy from the water but if the bankai would've been complete luppi shouldn't have lasted more than 5 secs

Hitsugaya doesn't have a time limit on his Bankai, the lotus flowers behind him show how much ice he has left to use, if he's near a river or leaves on the flowers will regenerate till all the water has gone from the river/ his spritual power has gone, or severly hurt as to impare fighting so much he simply cant continue, i.e. when Aizen stabbed him after he used bankai to attack him

I would seriously want to see a battle between Ichigo and Hitsugaya because Hitsugaya's zanpactou is an ice/water type and ichigo's bankai makes him very fast. Hitsugaaya would have the advantage because his ice would slow Ichigo (not easy to run very fast on ice even if you are a shinigami) ... but I still think Ichigo would win. Still it would be interesting.

Ichigo would win even with plot armor/plotkai. Hitsugaya is the weakest captain (although he has great potential - just young). Ichigo fought on par with Byakuya, one of the stronger captains. Ichigo defeats Hitsu easily, won't even have to use his vaizard mode.

Personally, I don't think the captains are put in divisions purely by strength. I mean, look at Kenpachi! Well, normally, I would hate to see my two favs fighting but the battle would be interesting. Too bad the fights between the two were interrupted in the movie Oo

Depends, wether we're talking realistic or wether it was scripted into the manga or anime.
If it was scripted into the manga or anime, ichigo would win hands down.
Reason: Plot Armor
If it was a realistic style battle, then it could go both ways, because we know ichigo is in touch with his hollow powers, but, we still don't really know hitsugaya's full power, we've only seen him battle weak arrancar and so on.
But, I'd still go with ichig, mainly because of plot armor+hollowization.

Would you hitsugaya fans please stop talking crap for one moment. Do you guys actually BELIEVE that hitsugaya's bankai alone would be enough to defeat Ichigo's mask? Even Ulquiorra needed 2 hands to stop Ichigo's attack and he's far stronger than toshiro. Vaizard powers increase a shinigami's powers exponentially, therefor a regular captain with bankai is nowhere near as strong as a vaizard with bankai AND a mask! It's simple to see who would win and it's not Hitsugaya. DUH!

of course ichigo would win cus of the vizard form but if it came to a straight out fight u have to look at their fighting characteristics ichigo power is super strong and weak someimes while hitsugaya is still a child compared to the ppl in soulsociety and just as gin said he is too young to fully control his banki ichigo is super fast when he goes banki but if he slip up and let hitsugaya hit him once it's over everyone underestimates him cause what happen with gin he isnt a capitan for nothing
