In your design, is the airflow from back to front ? It's a very interesting idea, as I have a dilemma with my graphics card... The XFX 5870 pumps air out both ends of the card.. If I have the usual, front to back airflow it messes with the card...
So, am I correct in thinking you exhaust out the front ? and is that working well for you ?
Thanks for posting this video and the great photos.
@ivangutowski hello thanks for the post!! I'm not exhausting from back to front I'm going front to back.. no het issues also I'm using liquid cooler for cpu which has another fan on the radiator no heating issues at all....
@magestrate1 lol good luck with thoes overpriced peices of junk. Power supply's failing and rusting, motherboards going out, oh yea there great for only 3,000$!!!!!!!
@MrTpengineer i think your a little confused i built this pc using top of the line pc products this isn't a real mac in the sense that i went to the apple store to purchase...i simply added a hard drive to my current pc and installed mac osx lion... after when i relized a had a fully functional mac i thought it would be nice to modify the mac pro case to fit my pc components in... i assure you there are no rusting parts lol
@MrTpengineer btw there is no such thing as a I7 g5 ... i have installed a second generation intel i7 2600k with 16 gig's of pc 1600 ram...and a sapphire 6870 gpu thanks for the post...
@magestrate1 Ok, well I guess I got it mixed up but stil, the thing has components that don't even come close to it's price! Unless the motherboard, case, and psu are over 1,000$ by themselves lol.
@MrTpengineer as far as the real mac pros go your right, way over priced for the components. thats why people build hackingtosh.. this way you the builder controls what components are being used to a certain degree...because not all top of the line components are supported on macs....
@TheSavants as far as the hard drive trays? i just pull them out... i placed my hard drive tray on the bottom of the case then place aluminum sheet metal over them
give a thumb 's up your hackintosh because it really look like a mac pro
