I find people who come here to bash 'The Social network' pathetic. Both soundtracks were exceptional and fascinating needless to say award-worthy. It's only a matter of personal preference. For example, for me, Daft Punk's score for 'Tron Legacy' was the best. However, I can completely understand why it was not even nominated for any of the major awards.

'The social network' won because the soundtrack was fresh and unusual for such movie, Hans Zimmer will get his Oscar in the future, believe me.
