  • What is Brawl +?

  • wut is vanilla

  • there is another way (after u hack the wii with homebrew) get the homebrew browser...and u can get brawl+ from online WITH the wii, NO comp :D

  • Will it wok if I have Wii 4.1

  • yes, i just did it about 20 minutes ago

  • i put my GCT file in my sd card and when i loaded it....it says error to many codes on sd card :S

  • make sure you have sd cheats enabled

  • the hombrew channel come incluided onto the twilight hack ? i meaqn you run the twilight hack , so this install the hombrew channel and the homebrew channel incluides the gecko os and code management and hombrew browser? im asking cause may you need to install apart =)

  • troll fagj

  • What if I have wii menu version 4.0. Will that work?

  • Yep. Banner bomb works on all system menus.

  • I just started playing brawl+ today... I'm in love. It's so much more fun than normal brawl.

  • Any guys need help, i'm ur man. PM me.

  • I can actually send you guys the files. if you already have homebrew.

  • everytime i put the codes on it says theyre to long. and im usein gecko 1.9

  • WHY IS IT ALWAYS UNDER MAINTENENCE!

  • Because the Brawl+ Brigade forum is down.

    Use Smashboards instead.

And if you have trouble installing homebrew, Google or Youtube precisely for it.

  • If only I could find those Twilight Hack files... Google is givin' me weird stuff...

  • when i try to start the game, it gets to "SD Codes found. Applying" but nothing happens. I tried waiting a while but it doesnt work. Does anyone know what is wrong?

  • if you do know already id be glad to help, you need to get the newest form of gecko os which is 1.9.0.1 then it will work

  • PM me. ill help you.

  • does this work for wii 4.0?

i tried it but it freezes when it says applying codes.

    >.>

  • i know Twilight hack doesn't.. i think

  • Fine... for NTSC users. PAL users only find codes in texform. And I personally, have no idea of how to create a gct file.

Why are there no such things like newbie-understandable Coding tutorials?

  • broken link?

  • no, it's just under maintenance.

  • how do u get homebrew channel?

  • Thanks for making such an awesome and easy guide!

without your tutorial i wouldn't ever have the balls to actually do it [but i also got peer pressured from my friends xD]

  • When i try to copy the hack over it just says "Data may not have been copied" and then it duznt copy over. Why?

  • I could also use this to play import games right? I want to try Brawl+ out myself but I don't want to put the homebrew channel on my wii just for that . . .

  • LOL YOU NEED Hombrew Channel.

  • The Homebrew channel is the best thing to happen to the Wii. And Brawl+ is the best thing to happen to Smash bros series.

  • This guide is very reliable.

Also, to users who have SD cards that have the "write-protection" annoyances, make sure to put the little white thingy on the upper left of the SD card up. This will disable the write-protection, enabling the flow between the computer and the SD card to intermingle.

  • hey, i need help. my friend, a 3.2 wii user, has the sd card, the twighlight hack, and has brawl plus up and running. he came over to my house and we tryed to install it but when we tried to copy the twilight hack data to my wii, it said data not copied, does it mattter that i am a 3.4 user? if so, what should i do?

  • There is a special packet for 3.4, and I assume all other versions work with the other download. So, follow the link and download the file that says it's specifically for 3.4. Call me captain obvious if you like, but I think that should fix your problem.

  • Again, I think I have done everything in this video, but no codes take affect. I put the "offline GCT" files in the pf folder and still, there is no affect. This IS all you need to do, right?

  • Offline GCT files go into PF folder, and then the Loader GCT goes into :codes.

You have both of these, right?

  • i did everything this video showed me & right at the finish line when i hit "launch game" it says "no sd codes found". what the fuck am i doing wrong?!?!?! please help!!!!

  • Are you using Gecko 1.8?

If so, try the older Gecko versions for now, and check if you have any Gamecube memory cards in the slots.

  • For textures...

  • My current problem is at Gecko OS, nothing loads. Just an empty Gecko screen.

  • Take GCN Memory cards out.

  • Done. Brawl+ works. Awesome!

Now I just need to figure out how to make GCT files... I lack a Code Manager program. Just have a Code Manager folder... >_>

  • Remove the Gamecube Memory Card from Slot B, I think. If that doesn't work, remove from Slot A.

  • I have Homebrew installed, but I lack a "code" folder. Do you have to make a new one?

  • Yes, make it.

  • Okay so now it recognizes the codes and it applies them, but nothing seems to happen. Do I use the codes that say "Offline GCT" or "Online GCT" or are thsoe even the right ones?

  • You need to put the Offline GCT in a folder called "pf" this pf folder goes into your RSBE folder located in the following directory:

    private/wii/app/RSBE/pf

Stick Offline GCT into pf (make sure it is named RSBE01.gct) and boot Gecko.

  • I hit launch game and it says SD Codes Found. Applying. How long does this generally take?

  • This means you prolly put the SD codes in wrong. It takes like 2-5 sec usually.

If you are installing the Plusery set 4.0, put the LoaderGCT file (its smaller ~1kb) in /codes/ folder

Then you put the SECOND GCT (larger file, has all the codes in it, ~4kb) in private/wii/app/rsbe/pf/

if you don't have that folder, make it!

  • @shanus19 can i put in a SDHC?

  • This is surprisingly really, really helpfull. It's wierd because whenever I try to find a tutorial on how to mod some type of console in any type of way, all I get is "make sure you do that really simple completely reprogram every appliance in you kitchen trick three times but without the marky-mark maneouver, or it will burn your chips." And when I ask what that means the response is usually "lomkanfurtngjfg213829kd! you fuckwad!" So, again, thanks.

  • I Love YOU SHANUSSS.

    I sucessfully installed brawl+

    Your my lover now.

  • wait.... what clip did you not show?

Why not just record the clip of you putting it in? and then edit it in to the whole thing?

Its pretty easy to do that with iMovie.

  • what are the chances of this soft hack messing something up with the hardware? and how much does plus really pwn "vanilla" ? Do tell.

  • After I played plus, I will never go to back to vanilla. No risk of damaging your wii unless you add other apps which we don't condone.

  • Hmm, for some reason the gecko isn't showing any appilcations. Help please?

  • just bubbles?

  • NVM i got it working. I just had to remove my gamecube memory cards. XD

  • lol k

  • THANK U, THANKU SO MUCH HOLMES I NEEDED THIS HELP SO BAD. thank u incase u didnt know how thankful i am...thanx

  • epic video

thanks, i plan on getting a wii SD card in the next month or 2

  • Is the PAL version of B+ updated to the latest version?

  • Yes, there is a PAL version on the Brawl Plussery.

  • the PAL plussery doesn´t work. When I tried it, it always freezed when I took a stage

  • For some users it does work, we are working on getting PAL ported again for the newest set which we will be releasing shortly.

  • do u have to open the game like tht everytime?

  • yes. if you open the game from the wii menu directly you will play vBrawl (Vanilla Brawl = Normal Brawl)

  • To play Brawl+, yes.
