  • The penultimate, baby...

  • This band is better every time i listen to them...always hearing something new..

  • I've told MANY people this over the past few years. Back when CS was all over the charts, I NEVER really cared that much for them. Some of their songs I found to be ok to GOOD, but just never really "got into them". Until...

I saw this on HBO one night a few years ago, and my mind was DRAMATICALLY changed in an instant. To see how they reacted to the concert goers and even MORE so how they interacted with the ASYO made me INSTANT and LIFE LONG FAN! Such ENERGY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WTF...... the responses are about "obama" / politics. how good lood looking the singers is. etc. etc. WHAT ABOUT THE SONG ???!!!!!

  • the lead singer is good looking

  • I really like orchestral stuff combined with rock/metal but it just doesn't work with this song. Love Collective Soul anyways.

  • @RonCheneler- Sorry dude, the lyrics fit the burden of social programs on the tax payers (tea partiers) who are tired of shouldering the burden. The five dislikes are from Obama supporters.

  • One of the best christian mainstream bands ever !

  • It's Crap

  • This song sound great with the orchestration. It adds a lot to this song

  • and orchestra lol

  • must be tea partiers who didn't like this video

  • GREAT GREAT, IS VERY POWERFUL PERFORMANCE.....I LIKE THIS SONG...WOOOW

  • Id like to take every one of those "orchestral" instruments and bash them over their heads. Completely ruins the song.

  • did these guys breal up???i saw them on TV playing a song that bordered on incoherent with only the singer looking familiar.GREAT SONG.A real throwback to the classic rock days.

  • THE BEST that's all!

  • 5 people have no ears

  • I MASTERBATE OT THIS SONG EVERY MORNING

  • in order to be a successful rock lead singer you have to be able to dance weird.

  • My god i love this band!!!

  • ....and this one too

  • aint gonna lie, the orchestra ruined the song. they would have sounded sick on their own.

  • @wild1033 I respectfully disagree. The string section brought it a new dimension. I would have loved to have been there.

  • my fav song of Collective

  • reli bad gay dancer but amazin song XD

  • oh yeah

  • Thank you..Thank you...Thank you nolimits67 for posting Collective soul performing with the atlanta symphony youth orchestra...Kerry,,Buffalo New York..

Saturday August 6th 2010...11:17 pm est...

  • other good thing about collective soul is that their lyrics are too deep..modern shakespeare i must say..the art of poetry is lost nowadays..ed roland inspire me to write more and more

  • yes rap is just rubbish! utter rubbish with prostitutes dancing arnd niggarz..same shit u see in almost every rap videos..

  • Totally kickass. Interesting dance moves by the front man as well. He looks like Chad Crouger...except he's far superior in talent.

  • I love these guys. Obviously the "orchestra" in the back ground put forth a solid effort. If you listen to a few more of the songs in the performance, you will have no doubt that this was a kick a** concert.

  • @ccmusicfan1 I agree, it was a solid effort. Right from the beginning of the show with Counting The Days. What a cool idea and these kids must have loved every minute of it.

  • I dont think they are GODS in the vein of Sabbath or the WHo or Hendrix, but this song is god-like. Whats with that horrible orchestra - sorry, bad idea...

  • Gods.

  • Collective Soul continues to preach the gospel of classic rock n roll,a blessing to continue the legacy- Unlike rap crap, which is a poor excuse for music. Ed and the boys-keep rocking on!!!

  • finally someone who has some taste in music! i preder to call it C-rap

  • *prefer

  • @jetskiism People love bashing rap music. Nothing else better to do then bring up rap on a rock video?

  • This is available on DVD right?

  • i lve this band, im' a fan since 1994 till now it still rocks.

  • Comment removed

  • The original lead guitarists was better.

  • I love how into it the conductor gets! Also in Shine I love it when an asian kid on violin is rocking out, rocking back & forth in his chair!

What a mondo-thrill for the kids getting to share the stage & bright lights with such a top notch band! What a cool thing to do and killer way to get the next generation of artists in place!

  • uber-band, I'm 55 years old and love these guys ! They fit with all the classic rock I listen to.

  • Right there with you magellun. A few years shy of "fiddy" but my formative years were in the 70s. There's been a few (very few) bands who would've fit right in to the eclectic 70s music scene.

You know man, when "Disco Sucks!" was chanted @ every show. Yet it was totally cool to listen to Nugent & EWF. Rush & Jonny Guitar Watson. ACDC & Steely Dan, Heart & Billy Joel, Zep & CSN.

Of course corporatized compartmentalized FM radio & more corporporatized, mtv music ended that!

    Peace!

  • Some things are just timeless. : )

  • Point well written, they are playing at a classic rock radio station private birthday bash next weekend and I won tickets!!!!

  • @magellun ME TOOOO. I will be turning 54 in May and I have loved this band since I first discovered them in the 90s. I am a classic rocker too and I know what you mean. I only wish they would come to Long Island in the near future but they're not scheduled to. I saw them at a college here maybe 13 or 14 yrs back and they were incredible.

  • @magellun bro u got some years on u lol

  • ay u got a point there and i think that all of them were having a good time

  • this band is badasss. Im going to see them in september. hells yeah!

  • Amazing. I prefer the regular version, but always nice to hear something new and well done. Those are some lucky kids to be a part of playing a song this great with the actual band.

  • For some reason, I think this epic song just doesn't sound quite right orchestrated. It's just.. different.

Easily my favorite song in the world, and always will be.

  • I dissagree, i think it only adds to the awesomeness. Its like when X Japan did theyre concert with a live orchestra, that shyt was some amazing metal, but it just made it even more epic.

  • show me a song where x japan is metal. i've never heard of them and just checked them out, its pretty much soft rock

  • its an interseting version.not neccesarily the best, but it still sounds cool.

    easily their best song

  • wow! this sounds awesome. it's a good combo.

  • yo....theyre fucking good live, holy shit

  • It says that only 6% of kids like rock. It has to be more than that.

  • fuck rap, its the death of REAL music.

  • Ever heard of Dan le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip? No? Then shhhhh.....

    Thats REAL RAP!

  • rap sucks...end of story. bogus techno beats that repeat over and over again while some guy professes his love for whores and his desire to kill "pigs"?

    Fuck that....

  • Comment removed

  • haha cRap sucks lol. thought i'd just join in. but i am pretty sure its mroe than 6 percent. lol. love collective soul. nice grungy alternative sound. very enjoyable. and the orchestra is a huge plus

  • finally some one thats sees what i see fuck yea

    rap killed music like this

  • ok faggot?

  • who'd a thunk it? ( nice orchestration)

  • lol you're all right, it makes it 'epic' as it should be, and i also love how it has like 5 versions, i love this band because they play BETTER live than they do in studio.

  • the orchestra makes it all the more epic ^.^

  • awesome!

  • awesome!

  • These boys know how to roll.

  • this is the only song i hate with the orchestra. it doesn't work for me

  • I agree. the Orchestra takes away from the hard rock beginning. and it makes it sound too Regal... you know what I mean?

Other songs sound REALLY good though with the orchestra! This one doesn't...

Most Hard-Rock oriented songs can't do this... and this is no exception.

But regardless, I love Collective Soul!!!!

  • wow I love this song, it has many versions!!!

  • lO... Maximoooooo...:D !!

  • i'm gonna send this to the singer in my band and say "this is the stage presence you need!" :P

  • Další pecková!!!

  • My sister dedicated this song to me. OUCH! "All your weight, it falls on me, it brings me down!" I am not fat. But I get it now. Thanks Helen.

  • I thought the "light show" they had arranged for this song was a great fit for this song.

  • I watched this whole concert on HDTV the other night....amazing, still one of my favorite bands.

  • hellyeah the f-ing best show on earth...epic!!!!

  • IMAO! greatest band ever! C.S. rules. Amazing performance!

  • thats one of the coolest things ive ever seen

  • "Yeah collective soul is amazing and cool and awesome and spectacular any all sorts of other things"

  • I`d search this video many time, este concierto is powerfull

  • This is awesome! I love CS!!

  • HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ed Roland's blog about Afterwords-It feels good to be loved. Thanks to everyone for supporting this band...when you're purchasing our new recording...not only are you giving love to Collective Soul but you are helping to change the music industry. It's so liberating to be an INDEPENDENT band and be Top 5 on iTunes. We would have been 25 on Billboard's Top 200 if they would have let us report but because we think outside the box, make our own rules...we're on the Comprehensive Chart instead.

  • Deans's blog about new CS album "...looking forward to the upcoming shows in September and October where we'll be playing much of the new music. Look forward to seeing you guys out on the road and remember August 28th Afterwords exclusively at Target stores...oh and digitally of course at iTunes. Peace and Love Dean"

  • Joel's blog "...I think you'll find it's a little different sound for us...there was never any shortage of ideas or different perspectives on what a song might need. Now that I think of it, there was never a shortage of brute-force sarcasm either! I have to say that I'm very proud of this record and I hope you guys enjoy the music on a really loud stereo. Oh yeah, and yours truly has a song on there. Yes, that's right and I'm singing it as well so go easy on me! -Joel" Target & iTunes Tuesday!

  • This is the best concert DVD I have ever seen, great sound and the kids are so talented. Collective Soul forever :)
