Sérieusement , oui puisqu'au fond tout est sérieux ici bas je reste coi devant cette évocation très ( artistique ) de notre Joseph Pujol national allias Le Pétomane qui fit , en 1900 , se plier de rire à en oublier leurs ancêtres , les grandes dames du noble Faubourg St Germain jusqu'au titi et tout ce que l'Eléphant du Moulin rouge pouvait contenir de rates à dilater . Cette petite chose de trois fois rien réveille tout un monde qui n'a plus rien à voir avec le notre

Finally after 20 years of scant info on the this national treasure I have come to this recording. Actually this recording seems to cover the first part of his act. The second part consisted of Pujol playing some sort of wind instrument via a rubber tube inserted in his anus. This guy must have been good, most of the crown heads of Europe caught his act, King Leopold II of Belgium actually gave him 10,000 gold francs and said it was the funniest thing he had ever experienced in his life.

I found the biography of M.Pujol in a second hand store in 1979, the first time I got wind of this unique artiste.Reading it was like a breath of fresh air.He was the act that kept the sails of the Moulin Rouge spinning in those far off days, and no performer today could hold a candle to his impressive arts.A phenomenal farceur of flatulence, he must never be forgotten.

I've read about this guy - and I'm sorry to say that his repertoire is somewhat limited, based on this record. I thought he could actually perform somewhat musically. Just announcing various types doesn't seem to provide much of an act, since they all just sound the same except for their duration.

je n'ai rien trouvé sur Mr LEFIRES , il est possible que ce soit PUJOL qui est enregistré sous un autre nom , il était en procés avec le MOULIN ROUGE à partir de 1894 car il était parti pour former son propre théatre, ou alors cela peut etre également un copieur ou simulateur, sur l'autre face de ce disque il y a un monologue grivois avec des pets dit par Mr DUMAS de Paris le monologue s'intitule PHILOSOPHE,peut etre y a t'il un lien entre DUMAS qui est connu dans le CAFCONC et LEFIRES,
