@deventergast Nee hoor, er zit een electronische beveiliging is die ervoor zorgt draagt dat je hem niet te hoog kan draaien.

@guitigefilmpjes ow oke maar is 248km/h niet te snel voor een e220 cdi =p, ik weet dat het een bi turbo blok is met 170pk maar alsnog, ik vind die vw passat 2.0tdi's ook wel best snel voor 140pk (vanaf bouwjaar 2005) die dinge hale ook ongeveer 240kmh ofso.

@95potato It does not matter, as you use the kickdown (= car enters sport mode). And the kickdown only lets the engine rev higher, the car will not go faster!

@guitigefilmpjes The car does not enter sport mode when it kicks down. It just changes to a lower gear. Sport mode does actually make it go faster. Why would Mercedes give you the option of a sport mode if it changes the mode for you?

huge reliability issues with injectors on E220 and E250, mine packed it in yesterday 12k miles, could take up to 4 weeks to fix, supplier of injectors cant keep up with demand, its back to bmw for me

I read it on a German forum that there have been massive problems, but no solutions to the problem.

MB even impounded cars from their customers for months, untill they found a solution to fix the problem. As compensation they have been offered all sorts of other cars (same level or higher).

BMW actually had the same problem with the injectors, but with the 2007 petrol engines (523i, 525i, 530i). Manufacturers are supplying parts too fast to the market nowadays, so the customer is the test.

Also why so much time lapse? At start of video it was just after 7:15pm (1915) and a full tank of diesel. At the end of the video the clock read 9:45pm (2145) and the tank was below 1/2 a tank.

Well, although it is just a 4-Cylinder, the smallest engine overhere actually is the E200 CDI (with 136hp).

Oh, Okay. I was talking to my friend who lives in the UK and he stated that the smallest engine there is the E220 CDI. In the United States our smallest is the

E350 and E-350Bluetech. I've heard that MB plans to bring the E-250 with Direct Injection here in 2011, we'll just have to wait and see.

Ik ben me niet helemaal zeker van mijn zaak, maar volgens mij heeft de E220 CDI ook een Biturbo-motor. Daardoor beschikt ie altijd over een ruim koppel, waardoor hij uitstekend trekt.
