  • That background music is also the theme to the movie The Trouble With Angels.

  • Mr. Culp was a wonderful actor! He was great in "Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice"! RIP Bob

  • You are best known as a kind antagonist in half life 2?

  • RIP Mr. Culp.

That was one of the quickest Who's Who guesses I've ever seen, BTW.

  • I figured this out. This is circa 1972,Robert Culp was mentioning the upcoming theatrical release of HICKEY & BOGGS(of course this was before the eras of VHS,Beta and DVD video).

  • Is this the oldest GSN recording that you have garrisonskunk and is it true that you got GSN in May 1998 when this episode was rerun?

  • Hickey & Boggs is generally reviewed very positive. A gritty Peckinpah-inspired film noir written by Walter Hill it is highly sought after by fans of the genre. Alas, the only DVD version ever made (now out of print) was horribly transferred. I imagine this is something that is stuck in trust limbo after Culp's death.

  • @MalubaySyecado they shot up a rolls royce in that movie robert culp was the only white guy that wasnt a villian in roots 2

  • What happened to the audio?

  • Please do when you get the chance.

  • Thanks a lot for posting this. This is a great way to remember Robert Culp.

  • @reneecalling I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have a few "Tattletales" clips with Mr Culp I may post in the near future.

  • 0:45 -- the cards' font style harks back to 1950-1952 when the show used that style of font for occupation titles on the TV screen.

1:17 -- Smart cookie that Melba Tolliver, a New York TV news reporter. Even in syndication, the producers continued the Dorothy Kilgallen tradition of bright women journalists panelists. Sherrey Henrye also comes to mind.

JIm Backus appeared a few times on CBS WML back in 1956. The producers apparently considered replacing Fred Allen with him.
