  • its so nice .. its hurts

  • I saw many years ago in Italy(I think in the city of Viareggio near Lucca.) The concert was fantastic. Sorry for my elementar English. Roberto

  • they played this last night in pittsburgh. what a moving performance. thinking I like acoustic strawbs even more than the electric. Dave L is such an incredible guitarist, and his talent really shines thru in the acoustic format. love thses guys!

  • Beautiful-one of my Strawbs favs.

  • Thank you so much for this incredible view of Dave Lambert's ever-increasing perfection as a bridge between his guitar and the essence of what music can do to the soul.

  • Like Simon and Garfunkel they get more amazing as they age.

    Great effort !

  • I don't know about other cities, but in Toronto you can always talk to them after their shows. They're very approachable, Dave Lambert in particular. Talk to them. Buy them a beer. But you need to bring your own pen for autographing. I reminded Chas Cronk of something I shouted at him when he was playing with Steve Hackett decades ago, and he was kind enough to claim he remembered. Nice guy, Chas.

  • Great song, one of my favorites tho i prefer Hooper singing.Check out Fire which Dave Lambert formed back in the 60's-another great band.I always thought the Strawbs were crap but over the past few weeks i have really got to like them n i m going to see them 2nite for the first time-cant wait!!

  • I think the original duet was Cousins/Hooper, and Dave Lambert does an outstanding job on the Hooper part in this performance. Add in Brian's brilliant guitar solos, and this stands out as a stellar cut.

  • I liked Hooper's vocals too, but hearing Cousins is better than hearing nothing,

  • rocker53zero,thanks for sending this, it is beautiful,and peaceful.Very appreciated x me x

  • wish i can here the original song here..

  • Lambert's singing right? He's good, but I love Tony Hooper's original rendition most of all.

  • I don't think those visual effects were deliberate - they look like compression artifacts and missing keyframes.

  • Saw this at Joe's pub NYC while back, one of the best nights of my life, actually got to meet the band (Wih Chas Cronk not Brian)...Man.

  • saw strawbs in coxs yard 2 months ago -awesome ! .

  • A truly great song...but a bit overboard on the effects. I get the psychedelic connection, but the visual detracts from this tune's simple, heart-felt story. Nevertheless, many thanks for posting a moving performance.

  • Really wonderful. Thanks for posting.

  • Great performance, but would have preferred it without the 'special effects'.

  • On May 19, 2003 I drove three hours each way from near Knoxville TN to Lexington KY to attend this outstanding performance at the Historic Kentucky Theater. Thanks to the student ushers' generous invitation I was honored to be invited for dinner and drinks with the band after the show at a nearby outdoor cafe. As a fan since 1969 meeting them for the first time, you can imagine my elation.

Thanks for posting this great clip and reminding me of an outstanding evening.
