Like all Idol singers, they all seem to add an extra layer of sauce on everything, they can't just leave a note. I understand, you're trying to stand out, but I can predict how he's going to approach every note. He never suprises me. Really? I though it was a poor job, terrible cover. Really song sounds like shit on 33 speed. I guess i am extra critical about this song since it is in my top 3 of all time greatest Classic Rock Songs. Just my opinion. If you want a good cover of this song check out Pearl Jams. They dont make it sound like shit. Hell the Blue Man Group does this 10 times better than this.

ok, david cook is an amazing performer and has an excellent voice. but i can't stand this version of my favorite song. he takes away the badass aura of it and makes it somewhat of a pop version. he didn't ruin the song, but he certainly didn't capture the essence of one of music's greatest songs.
