Gleason as Buford T Justice made that first movie. Without him it would have been OK but the magic he added was irreplaceable. I pretty much let the 1st move stand alone, not a big fan of 2 and can't remember the last time I watched 3. Funny 1983 produced some bad 3rd installments,S&B3,Jaws 3(in 3-D),Superman 3 and though not in this league Return of the Jedi would have to be considered the weakest installment of the first 3 movies.
