Selanne and Kariya is debatable. IMO, Datsyuk and Z are not as dangerous on the offensive end compared to Selanne and Kariya. Pavel and Hank are more like Kariya: good shots, excellent playmakers, make everyone around them better. In pure goal-scoring ability, Selanne has Datsyuk and Zetterberg beat. However, the two-way play of Datsyuk and Z pushes them over Selanne and Kariya for me.
Since when is legal checking an example of unsportsmanlike conduct? Datsyuk just proving again that he is the ultimate complete player in the league. Add great checking to great shooting, great passing, great dangling, great defense.

Selanne and Kariya is debatable. IMO, Datsyuk and Z are not as dangerous on the offensive end compared to Selanne and Kariya. Pavel and Hank are more like Kariya: good shots, excellent playmakers, make everyone around them better. In pure goal-scoring ability, Selanne has Datsyuk and Zetterberg beat. However, the two-way play of Datsyuk and Z pushes them over Selanne and Kariya for me.

The Red Wings will hold a 2 pm news conference on 1/28/09 at Joe Louis Arena when they will announce the signing of Henrik Zetterberg to a long-term contract extension.
It will be a 12-year deal worth slightly more than $72 million, making it the longest and most lucrative contract (in total value) in franchise history. The Wings were able to sign him for a salary-cap figure of slightly more than $6 million per season by adding two years at the end of the deal worth just $1 million per season.

3 games and 21 points separate all 4 of those cats over their careers. I'd say they're all pretty darn close. 3 games 21 points. Only difference is Z and Pav play for a cup winning team, that does not care about individual stats. They play for and WIN cups. Go and love your men. You know not of what you speak. What do you expect form a 15 year old fool who's starstruck. If you say Dats and Z "Suck" with those numbers as close as they are, then you must think your guys suck too right?

Trust me man They're good. If you take the time to watch some of Datsyuk's highlights on youtube, you will see how amazing that guy is. I'm not going to take anything away from Heatley or Spezza. In fact Spezza is from Windsor and I was hoping the Wings would have picked him up. Nothing but respect for your guys man. They are top notch NHL players. So do yourself a favor and look up "Datsyuk Turco." Unreal. This is the stuff he does game in, game out. Just give it a chance dude. Respect skill.

When theay are a "duo" theay are not as good as Z and Dats, Infact what makes the cash line so good is Alfredsson (I cant belive how you faield to see that?), If you dont belive me check what happen the last play of, Ottawa was gone in the first line and Detroit won the stanley cup ( Alfredsson was still in bad chape after his injure and could't play at his best). Theay are good players dowe and there line may be the best line (on paper) in the league.

dats is 5 times the hockey player heats will ever be... he can light the lamp, thread the needle, king of takeaways, so to put up those stats and still be in the running for the Selke and +/- champ. is incredible, all on top of winnin the cup (which is prolly the only thing he even cares about), not to mention the Lady Byng = something heats will never accomplish
