  • nice build i only miss a small ssd :P like 30gigs or so

  • @nervenjere I would have, but 30 gigs doesnt fit the OS so I saw no point. :p

  • two questions... first what settings will bf3 run on this pc? also who did the remix of the bf theme song, was interesting.

  • @fatallyyrs27 I run everything on Ultra but my monitor is 16:9. I don't know who mixed the song.

  • Hey what engineering class do you take? I'm still in high school but i dont know what i want to specifically do when im older. Im into computers ive built them before but i havent of my own. I've done C and C++ programming before as a sophomore in highschool. But i want to know what your doing. I hope you can help out:D

  • @randomstufdude Its a 2 year vocational program, message me for specifics.

  • @mrgeo20 cant you just boot and install from a usb? instead i mean the bios must be there and ive installed windows many times off my trusty little 4gb flash :) but i guess there are factors like do you have a copy of windows and another pc to make a bootable usb..and stuff

  • @mrgeo20

no i mean like a usb wireless adapter or a wireless card would be fine

  • whats the song? its awesome

  • @mrgeo20

1 more thing, does the computer have wireless internet or will i have to buy an adapter for $10

  • @h1ddenmusic you need a wireless card for wireless internet.

  • @h1ddenmusic no u dont need an adapter... now most motherboards have a built in wireless adaapter

  • @alnforce most mobo's definitely do not have built in wireless. thats still a trait of the high end motherboards.

  • @mrgeo20 most of asus p8z68 series do

  • @mrgeo20

thanks so much for being a great help i'm going 2 have the same exact computer as u thanks again!

  • @mrgeo20

can i get Tiveco Ghost Series GHO-001RD Mid Tower Computer Case instead. Will it fit everthing u have?

  • @h1ddenmusic well, it is a mid tower, lol. so yes, it will probably hold everything just fine.

  • @mrgeo20 Yeah with everything with the OS came out to be around 711, which is not bad. But I might go for a cheaper case, lol.

  • @iGOBURR dont even take the risk of puttin a pirated version of windows 7 on a new computer mainly cause its hard to know if its infected with viruses and malware or not.

  • @Liquidforce99gt the copy I have is a beast. 65 bit ultimate and it comes with a defragger, windows 7 manager, and tons of other great programs. You also dont ever have to activate it, lol. If you know where to look, you're at no risk.

  • @mrgeo20 Will 16gigs do anything for video editing if I get 16gs instead?

  • @mrgeo20 One more thing, Is the case loud? I don't like loud cases. From the years of having a loud case is deadly on my ears.

  • @UIsTall not really, video rendering is more cpu intensive than ram intensive. the case is not loud at all.

  • @UIsTall If you want a quiet case buy one with big fans, 200mm fans move more air at lower rpms. Or buy a $20 fan controller for your 5.25 bay if you think any case is too loud

  • Thanks for these videos, I'm going to build a PC exactly like or similar to this.

My budget is $800 so i might upgrade some things.

  • Does this package come with an optical drive?

  • @iGOBURR nope, got a lite-on drive that plays blu-ray for $17 though, haha

  • @mrgeo20 From newegg?

  • @iGOBURR yep

  • What is the song :O

  • @mrgeo20

ur sooo freakin lucky! should i get ultimate, professional, or home premium.

  • I bought the same combo and just finished building it, everything runs perfect but nothing displays on screen when i turn it on. Can someone please help me?

  • @TheLolosaurusRex plug in your display output to the motherboard instead of the video card and see if anything shows up.

  • @mrgeo20

I tried that and there is still no display. What cable is that that you connected to the atx 12v at 1:20? I don't have that connected on mine.

  • @TheLolosaurusRex that's the 4-pin power connector, you need that to be able to turn it on, haha.

  • @mrgeo20

Haha wow, i can't find that cable on the power supply. can i use any other pin cable for that? sorry for asking so much bro

  • @TheLolosaurusRex the 8-pin snaps in half into two 4-pins.

  • @mrgeo20 i got it to work thanks so much man!

  • @TheLolosaurusRex dude, i had this exact same problem with my custom pc, it turned out i got a faulty graphic card, and i am getting a new one, maybe you should look into that. it might not be that but it is worth having a look into. by the way i did not get that pc it is different. let me know how it goes. hope this helped :)

  • @mckey54

I solved my problem but thanks for the help :) It was just that I didn't know you could split the 8-pin connector into two 4-pins.

  • @TheLolosaurusRex thats good. :D

  • next step get better cpu cooling

  • @mrgeo20 did you buy windows 7. which one?

  • @h1ddenmusic nah, my friend gave me an Ultimate disc he had.

  • @mrgeo20 You should have made a bootable usb key and installed it like that, it's faster too =p

  • you need to do a cable management ... ;-)

  • I'm an idiot: its $500 without the monitor keyboard or mouse? I want to build a PC for a little bit cheaper than this. I'm good with electronics but putting everything together and installing windows on a bunch of random parts scares me!

  • @linglingjr Yes, the 20" LED Monitor ($99), Razer BlackWidow Mechanical Keyboard ($80), and Razer DeathAdder Mouse ($75) are not included. A PC can be built for cheaper, but it's hard to do. There's nothing to be scared of, it isn't too hard.

  • @mrgeo20 can i ask i am only 13 but do you think i should build my first pc or get an expert to, but tell him the parts i want, though i am quite intellectual maybe not compared to you but i know how to build a pc i just have never done it before so i don't want to mess it up.

  • @Megatronicful Building a pc isn't for everyone but if you do your research and take your time with it, you can do it.

  • @mrgeo20 thanks mate

  • @mrgeo20 I built my first PC in september :D

  • @Megatronicful im 13 too and ive already build 4 computers in my life.

  • @Megatronicful I suggest to let the experts build it first, maybe if you can have them to build it in front of you and explain the steps, you can learn from the experience and one day build on your own

  • @Megatronicful If you have a tight case it might be hard to get the motherboard in place without accidently dropping it or slipping which might destroy it. So my recommendation would be that you make sure you have a big enough case and then just take it easy, even if it takes hours you will be glad you didn't spend $100 letting a professional do it. Make sure you do the wiring good though, it's crucial to the cooling.

  • @linglingjr $500 PC Alone is really cheap, and as he said, Go Razer for the extras

  • @linglingjr Just ask around on forums and to make sure all the parts you want will work together. Or what you should get for your price range and needs. The motherboard manual will walk you through most of the build and it's really easy. I built my first system way back when i was about 12 lmao.

  • @TonkatrainHONKHONK thanks I've started putting a list together buying parts second hand on Craig's list can/will save me a ton of money I'm comfortable putting hard ware together its installing windows and getting stuff to recognize each other that I'm scared of.

  • @linglingjr All you need to do is go into the bios/setup by pressing delete/F2 or whatever it says to press when it first starts up. Then find the boot device order and set your dvd drive as the first time.

Then put in the windows disk and restart and it will walk you through the installation.

Once windows is setup go to your motherboards website and get all the drivers for yor OS. Then get the driver for your video card. If you added any other pcie cards get the driver for those.

  • The cable mess is extreme. Use the cable grommets to hide them.

  • @hertzman5YT I did what I could, every single cord on the power supply was too short to do any real management. The 8 pin 12 volt for the mobo wasn't even long enough to run it behind the mobo so I had to do a direct run... I don't think I'll be buying PSU's from Corsair in the future.

  • @mrgeo20 Corsair PSU's are one of the best in the market. It wouldn't make sense to make their case not work with their PSUs.

Get cable extensions as cleaning the mess lowers the temps by a ton.

  • @hertzman5YT I agree with you, they should work together, but they do not. I'll be getting extensions soon.

  • How is your mobo holding up? I'm actually in the process of building a very similar build but I'm trying to decide whether I should go with the ASUS M5A97 (94$ + tax free shipping) or with the mobo you have (its like 60~ o newegg i think). with an ati 6770. I was thinking maybe if I cheaper mobo i can put out more money on gpu and get maybe 6850. but the asus m5a97 has 2 pcie slots and max 32gb ram : / I'm in a pickle....what are your thoughts?

  • Hi did u mount copper stand offs on the upper side of the case? in those 3 bubbles?

  • @Jh0nnY2k the standoffs are pre installed for an atx mobo, if you get a micro atx mobo you can just screw more standoffs into the labeled holes. the case comes with extra.

  • How has the performance of the FX-4100 been for games? Satisfied?

  • @wreck6969 More than satisfied, it has far surpassed my expectations!

  • @mrgeo20 Thanks, I'll keep this processor in mind since I'll be building a rig within the next 2 months......

  • gotta love them cheap and noisy amd hsf

  • @FellowBassHead they're cheap, but imo they're better than intel's stocks ones and this one isn't loud at all.

  • @mrgeo20 meh maybe it was mine i liked the intel ones over the amd ones mine is the same as yours but didnt even have the amd sticker on the fan, but mine was loud as hell so i replaced it asap, and it was just a nomral phenom 2

  • Also did you have any problems when building?

  • holy shit dude, i must know where you live. I think we might live in similar areas seeing that I'm also in an engineering class with VEX kits. Radical build btw!

  • @kr3wsk8r1031 no way! I live in south mississippi, how about you?

The only problems I had were that getting the motherboard to line up with the standoffs in the case is a bit tricky and the cords on the power supply were all too short to do any tidy cable management, otherwise everything went smoothly. My main advice is to read the motherboard manual before starting and plug in the cords for the power button and such as soon as you put the motherboard in the case.

  • @mrgeo20 I'm from houston, Tx. That's crazy

  • @kr3wsk8r1031 that's pretty cool. are you guys in TSA or going to Vex competitions or anything? It'd be pretty awesome to meet up at a competition!

  • @mrgeo20 no I don't think so. I'm in 2nd year engineering if that means anything. We call it POE or principles of engineering. But no, I haven't heard anything about the vex competitions

  • @kr3wsk8r1031 oh, I'm in first year. haha
