Tongue piercing: Day 1 - 10 hours after

I pierced my tongue almost at the edge not at the middle cause my tongue is really short

My tongue was swollen for only 6 hours after I pierced my tongue it's hour 8 and I feel fine =D

Hey i got my tongue pierced today , and it swell until it covered the entire barbell and its only day 1 ( a few hours after piercing )

Is it too short ? Cause its actually long to me . Is it normal ??

@Zoeyy0156 Everyone react different. But my tongue was very swollen the first 24h so I dont think you should worry. It will go down as the healing starts to get moving. If it still is that swollen in 5 days you should contact your piercer.

@starlessprincess I ate a lot of diary products, never had a problem, You have to remember to use strong mouthwash or any other antiseptic solution made for tonguepiercings after you eat ANYTHING

@starlessprincess it is bad, because there is a good chance to get a yeast infections during the first week. You can eat/drink dairy products, but thats your risk.

alright guys, if you say yeast infection on your Tongue is a myth then you are an idiot. it is a very real thing and can happen if you do not cut back on dairy products. just because you didn't cut back yet didn't experience any yeast infects it doesn't make it a myth. for example, my Tongue never even swelled, therefore swellings a myth right? MANY people have had yeast infects because they isn't cut back on the dairy products they consumed. idiots.

@sheenapie10 No it can not, the only reason they tell you not to eat dairy products is because it can slow down the healing of the piercing, i have mine done and i eat dairy products all the time, as long as you mouth wash the dairy product out of the piercing it won't slow it down either.

first time I did my piercing in the tongue I didn't feel anything but it hurt me after for a few days and the second time it was a week ago it hurt me really bad and there was so much blood!! (grooooosssss lol) but after one day I didn't feel anything so XD

i have a lip piercing and it didnt hurt at all,not even when it was swollen it was just a bit uncomftorable O.o

but tounge piercing does hurt much more than lip!

This is my first "real" piercing, since i dont see my nose piercing or my ear piercings as real piercings. I did some myself but I dont see them as real piercings either since i didnt have them for long.
